Interesting @drøn
I would hope to have at least half of the 512GB free at all times - I assume this is more than enough for optimum performance? -
Right, I'm going to pull the trigger and get a new macbook pro. Had mine since 2009 but I'm going freelance as a photographer/cinematographer so need a new one that works.
I'm planning on going for the top spec 15" then upgrading the CPU and graphics card but not the SSD as I won't be storing much on it. I'll also get a couple of usb dongles and maybe a thunderbolt one.
Is there anything I'm missing in terms of getting the best most future proof spec possible without wasting money. (I know it's limited to 16GB ram, but I can't wait for a potential v2 sadly).

It was ex display from chain reaction. Says it's 1 1/8th but wasn't big enough for mine.
Pm your address and I'll try to get it in the post tomorrow. Just call it a Christmas present.
Edit - I've just read a review that says it's crap and doesn't expand enough. I'll post it to you if you want to give it a go?

@dancing james - Nah, my back will adapt, it's all about how it looks.
Got the gears indexed last night, once I found a decent youtube video it was pretty easy. I did however manage to make the chain to short. No idea how. It's rideable, but I will have to get a new one before taking it on a proper ride.

Most bits in place. Need to glue/screw the bottom bracket cable guide on, then cable up the mechs.
Got a TRP long drop at the front and standard 105 calliper at the back as it actually gives more clearance.
I'm really falling in love with it. Can't wait to take it for a spin.
Also, anyone know if you can fit a shimano 11s chain with a no 11s chain tool?

Sorry to hijack the thread slightly, but you are the font of all knowledge @mdcc_tester
Is the bearing cover on an integrated headset part of the compression system? I've got a Ritchey integrated headset and the 'cover' appears to come in contact with frame without touching the compression ring. I can't see how it will ever get tight.
It's almost like the bearing races are too deep. Going to take it to a lbs, but it's bugging me!

Thanks for the input bro.
I found black pdw fenders for £64 which is a bonus.

I've been riding an aluminium Trek with no clearance for mudguards or even 25's for too long, so I've had my eye out for a frame to build up as a winter bike. Ideally stainless or titanium with loads of clearance and mudguard eyelets.
Then this came up on ebay and I thought I would take a punt on it. I got it for pretty cheap and it eventually arrived today. There is not much out there on the makers, but I think the specialise in custom titanium wheelchairs and hand bikes. It looks really nicely put together and should just about fit mudguards.
Whilst waiting for the frame to get here, I picked up some Deda winter forks from @homingmissle and 3T bars from @Skant . @Fox is sorting me out with TRP long drop brakes, a stem and headset.
The rest will be 105 5800 that I ordered today, so the whole thing will be pretty standard black components on a Titanium frame. I've been searching for some black PDW fenders but I can't find them in stock anywhere so any suggestions are welcome.

Just fitted mudguards in less than an hour without swearing or muttering to myself once.
