I picked up a Vitus 979 for cheap with a cracked seat-post clamp. Does anybody have a recommendation for this better than my LBSs "cut it in half and turn it into a lamp". It's a beautiful lightweight frame and I'd love to have some fun with it, I'm tempted to just glue a seat-post in there and see how it holds.

Yes, I'll take them! DMing you now.
Thanks so much for the ping @PhilDAS

Picked up a cheap-ish Karakoram and one of the shifters immediately exploded, so I've taken the opportunity to strip it down in preparation for a 1x11 drivetrain.
Luckily the frame is in great condition, the purple haze paintwork just needs a bit of effort to really bring it to life.

(The Wald in the background is going on too)

@Skülly, @withered_preacher – these look great too. Thank you!
For context: I'm sick of riding my pre-CAAD Cannondale on gravel even with 28c tyres so picked up a GT Karakoram to build up nice.

Made a whole load of changes to the monster Pre Cursa

Carbon+Ti seat-post, super heavy/comfy NJS saddle, Time ATACs, full-crabon fork. Tiny gallery here: http://imgur.com/a/J9Mc9.
It's not perfect yet but it's slowly getting there, it's certainly a whole load of fun to ride.
