Definitely worth a go for the price. I found my Hunt wheels (particularly the front) a touch flexy at 75kg, but in all honesty it didn't really bother me. Only becomes really apparent when you start using 32 spoke wheels afterwards.

Look good for the price. Similar sort of thing to the Hunts (the anti bite guard on the rear hub looks the same; it broke off mine).

You probably won't find them quite stiff enough and you'll wish they had four more spokes per wheel if you're heavy-ish. I'd get them for that price though.

I don't have a clue what the prices are for those wheels, just noticed they appeared to do them in J Bend and Straight Pull.

Yeh, J bend a bit easier to get spares for (as in, if you're out in the Alps and a spoke snaps for example).

Nah, Hopes are decent wheels; go with them if that's a choice. The straight pull spoked ones might be a bit lighter, plus the spokes might be stronger. Go for 6 bolt disc aswell if you care about weight savings!

Which guards are they? The clip on ones? Mudguards rarely seem to fit without any modifications. I had to drill the bridge off mine and flip it round, along with drilling a new hole in the rear guard.

Fitted my Radials the other day; bit of a faff as I had to make some "extenders" for the bridges as the mounting holes in the frame and fork were too far away. Other than that, they seem solid, if a little short (and narrow). Could do with some mudflaps; any suggestions other than a bit of innertube?

I meant the front mech. If it's got an arm on it like this one, then you'll need quite alot of tension in the cable to get it to shift well. It's not just a case of pulling the cable finger tight, you'll probably need to add some turns on the barrel adjuster on the downtube.

They look like classic bend bars so usually the bottoms are about level with the ground, in which case you'd need to rotate the levers back quite a bit.

If it's the 105 mech with the long arm, you need quite a bit of tension in the cable to get it to shift.

Silent! And they engage instantly. Not THAT expensive either (probs about Chris King price I'd imagine) although they're maybe 100g heavier than a regualr hub IIRC.

Also, really low rolling resistance (I think that's the right term)

Get yer sen an Onyx. Been on the list for years, can't justify the cost though.
