ive just bought an preloved WI 17t from the classifieds here
and a Cyclo 4-prong remover, which im assured works, seems fits better than the Icetools 4prong BMX anyway
tho since ive also bought a 22t chainring for it, im considering the 33gbp proper tool for it from sideways
i fully intend to get a 20t for it ... after i get a bit fitter tho
i replaced my well-worn+reversed TA 50t front ring with a 44t TA 1/8"
just waiting now for an injustible pin-spanner [*red* one is recommended]

[scrub all that backend nonsense, just picked up an White Industries 17t
and ordered a 22t ring for it
which will allegedly fit
might as well start at the top eh, get an bit of a spinny goin
44x17 -- meh, barely perceptible change from x16
44x22 -- now we're talking

Can anyone recommend [or diss] these cheaper, Taiwan-made alternatives to the White Industries freewheel?

hm, BBG seem quite similar to, but not the same as, what was on there, with a 50t TA
which was on backwards, i guess he'd turned it to get more miles
whats odd is the that ringbolts were puttied in
something like putty, anyway
ive got a gebhardt plainring, but its also far too big despite being described as ok for 44t on the site i got it from
my last bike [on a Tom Board cross frame, now stolen] was 5-speed but with 10-speed campag oldo record chainset, with filed-off teeth on the outer ring ..
mb if i stick with 44t i'll catch a TA ring and file it too -
im dropping the ratio on this Trek soho with track ends + a flip-flop
currently its a 50t TA 1/8" ring on the front, with a chainguard ring, to be swapped with a 44t TA ring + smaller Gebhardt chainguardring
16t noname 3/32" freewheel being swapped out for a ol NOS Regina 1/8" 16t :: question here is, am i being obsessive by changing to 1/8", makes sense to me but:
them dear rebuildable american freewheels fit both chainsizes, which im not that keen on
geezer in NL sold me the chainguard but sent a 135 instead of a 130, replacement just arrived, im all set to bitswap
the 130 bcd chainguard is significantly larger than the 44t, tho not illegally so, but might fit a 47t better
any hints where to find a 130 bcd chainguard to suit a 44t?

hardly a hi-value order, but my first from them

i wanted a look at RED mesh-layers, i have a advanced-mesh from somewhere else, but longsleeve; which i think works well for mesh-under-tech layering
