So, I'm moving to Toulouse and realized that taking 1 metric kilo-tonne of spare parts with me was not an option. So I'm having a big clearout. Anything can be collected from Stoke Newington evenings and day time or from Broadway Market on saturdays - just give me a heads up on that so I can get stuff to a stall. Also I can run stuff through the parts washer at work if you ask :P just couldn't face doing everything.
Any questions just let me know and I can take more photos if needs beHappy to post stuff out via Royal Mail - which is normal £5.50 right?
Dirty low Offers for lots of bits welcome,
Finally, I priced this in a hurry and I've been out of the game for a while - sorry if anything seems remarkably badly priced...

Here we have my much beloved salsa El Mariarchi 3 from 2013.
Size M (salsa say this suits a rider between 5'8-6'0, I am 6 foot on the dot and this fella was perfect for me)
Made from Sanko triple butted 'kung-fu' tubing not boring old 4130 like the later models
If you're looking at this you probably know just how versatile and fun this frame is, a glorious middle ground between mountain bike and cyclocross, and more fun to ride than its long haul brother the fargo. Perfect adventure and gravel bike. humungous tyre clearance and very adaptable 'alternator' dropouts/cable routing options mean that you really can do pretty much anything you want with it.
I have had this built up as both a drop bar adventure tourer and then later as a flat bar fun bike. Because I was initially running it as a tourer I had the bb shell professionally faced down to 68 (instead of 73) professionally so I could fit hollowtech road cranks, this makes for a much more versatile set up. It has genesis 29er rigid steel forks with three bottle cage mounts on each side (as in three bolts in a row, not 3 sets of two bolts) and takes happily any sort of rack, lowrider, porteur or even mudguards you can imagine. The headset is a cane creek forty that is less than 6months old.
Over all condition is good, no dinks, dents or bends -he usual bit of tree scrap on the top bar and patch of rubbed paint from big waterbottle rubbing. Bb threads are clean, no rust in the seat tube and alternator dropouts moving freely. Some of the model stickers have come off but we all know what they say
Am selling because breathes in- this is a long story while
i was away touring a couple of months ago my flat-mate decided that bikes could no longer live in the house, and so locked it outside our flat with a chain that can only have come from a chirstmas cracker - it was of course promptly stolen. I return, search the markets, gum tree and e-bay in vain... Resigned to the fact that the beautiful salsa was gone i signed up for a cyclescheme voucher through work, which came through in record time and my replacement beast is being built at seabass cycles as we speak. Meanwhile back at the ranch, a friend sees some geeza on my bike ride by (still wearing its utterly impractical 2.25 onza gumwall knobbly tyres) chases the guy down, and in can what can only be described as the bravest act anyone has ever done for me, gets my bike back from the guy, cost free. He is a hero and I am now the proud owner of two 1x 29er steel monsters. Even I must admit this is too manyDecided to strip the salsa down and use the parts to build the misses a wicked little 2x10 Sram XO tourer and so the salsa is free to roam, to find a new home.
In light of this slightly shadey story I would like to reiterate that I have all the proofs of purchase from this bike and a crime ref no. for its theft.
I have had some serious fun with this bike and I'm sure you will too.
Was looking for £285 NOW £270 w/ fork and headset, (and on one seatpost clamp if needed) though am happy to split if needs be. ONO

For sale is my much loved beater - sadly being a boater there are only so many bikes allowed aboard so she's gotta go
She's an old lugged carlton road frame not 531 light but not bad at all -fully chromed with black and red detailing and lovely orignal headbadgel. The chrome is in wonderful condition and cleans us wonderfully. Being old she doesn't have a mech hanger or downtube mounts which means the frame is clean looking and makes a single speed conversion. 57cm or whatever the nearest inch conversion is...
Rear wheel has a new 2 speed stermey kick shift rear hub (not the coaster brake version which is terrible) which has done 2 months around london and has just bedded in perfectly, working very slick. If you've never heard of these things before - they are awesome, you get one gear (average single speed ratio) and one considerably easier gear, so you can bust off the lights or just take it easy on your way through the park. gears are swtiched between by a slight back pedal, which comes to be so intuitive after about 2 minutes riding.
front hub is a new style shimano dynamo (which i've been using to charge my phone) Rims are both new box section chromey things of unknown manafacture.
old wrights saddle (almost identical to brooks b17) - with good old security chain
riser bars, new brake levers
fresh cables and leather bar tape
Mafac rear brake
exage front brake
panaracer passaela puncture resistant tyres with loads of life left.
new tange headset
decent enough cranks, pedals, stem etcshe rides like a dream and looks the business. All recently serviced and maintained.
Our boat is in victoria park at the moment so if you fancy a test ride just let me know or it'l be at my shop in hackney downs.
Looking for £200
PM me.
