@LonghaulTC Love the new MASH Work, you trendsetter! Would love a CXSS but wouldn't have space/money/time to ride it :-(
I'm beating around on a bare/clearcoated Raleigh fixed conversion, but will be swapping to my old (slightly bent) Globe Roll 2 (a bike designed by Garrett from MASH when he worked for Specialized...) after I get it re-coated, and when the Raleigh will be built as a 'quick nip into the Peaks' bike. I have a slaved-out matte grey Pre Cursa also, but that's only for track, TTs, and special occasions. -

@Robb0 best job would be to use a rotary tool (Dremel) and some polishing bits (to get into all those CNC nooks and crannies. Failing that, use some Autosol and a rag and maybe some cotton buds, and further failing that, grab a rag and some Brasso and see how that turns out. May as well give Brasso a go before you do anything else, to see if you like, because results from the other two options will be better (Autosol) and better again (Dremel + polishing compound).
If you want a mega high shine, leave it unlacquered and polish it periodically. Lacquer will dull it. I suppose, however, that the finish would be more robust with a lacquer, so weigh up durability vs. aesthetics. -

@simosurfer ^this. Forum is a pain in the bum to read/access from a mobile phone, and who wants to sit around on their computer all weekend waiting for rides?

Possibly not next week, but most likely the week after. The clocks change at the end of next week, so more daylight in the evenings. Looking forward to seeing that bike!
EDIT
@simosurfer If you're on Facebook, join the group in the link above, and keep an eye out for posts containing 'WNR', 'WNRO', etc... -

...Or if you're specifically looking for the drop a Jaguar offers, could try one of these (logo polished off, run upside-down) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/System-EX-High-Rise-Upright-Handlebar-Stem-1-1-8-Ahead-/120640733449?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=420054447314&hash=item1c16bf8109 before going to the expense of converting to threaded.
Nowhere near as nice as the above, but will provide similar geometry. I ran one for a while in summer, but not with drops (https://instagram.com/p/qPs9GvlmuP/?modal=true). -
Sounds like far more hassle and expense than it's worth.
Along the lines of what @bmx_fred suggested, you could also find a Nitto NJ-89 stem (1-1/8", but designed for women's keirin, so NJS approved, if you're stamp collecting), or try one of these from Drew at Hubjub:
http://hubjub.co.uk/index.php/store/stems/zenith-stem-detail
Really good quality; about 90% the quality of appearance of an NJ-89 for about one fifth of the price. Bought one for my girlfriend's Bianchi Pista Concept before it was stolen.

I spotted the new one on Monday while on the way back up from a TT. Thought it was begging for a tag.
