In an effort to keep clutter down to a minimum, I am getting rid of a few bits I will probably never use:
Brand new Rapha Tempest jersey (large). Got this from Rapha outlet in Somerset as happened to be in area for a wedding but never wore it. Just want my money back...can be seen here: https://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/shop/tempest-jersey/product/TPJ01XXNVYMED £50>45posted
Sintema full carbon 1" threadless forks. Very very good condition, no marks whatsoever on the forks themselves, just a few light scuffs on steerer. Decals appear to be removable, about 198mm steerer length available. £45>40 posted
Chorus 1" threadless headset. Very smooth, almost NOS condition apart from a couple of small marks on lower cup. £30>28 posted
Selle Italia SLR XP. A few small scuffs, but generally ok condition, think it weights about 180g. £20 posted - Somebody has dibs
Tune black Mig/Mag hubs (Shimano 24 hole). Great condition and very smooth, haven't seen many miles at all. Annoyingly, the front hub has a very small dent in it (which doesn't affect performance at all). £140>135 posted

Waaaaay too big for me and may only post to US, but $125 BIN for a super rad Klein Quantum beater seems fair https://www.ebay.com/itm/KLEIN-QUANTUM-RACE-FRAMESET-63CM-w-saddle-headset-seatpost/253249563621?hash=item3af6d9abe5:g:0NcAAOSwdW9aA4R7

Who said the words 'period correct'? You've just made that up in your head.
Also: Refined
- elegant and cultured in appearance, manner, or taste.
- developed or improved so as to be precise or subtle.
There is nothing elegant, cultured, tasteful, or subtle about putting 50mm Chinese carbon, unmatched forks, and a black ARX stem on a beautiful old steel decor.

I didn't manage to find a full build as needed, so am going to put it together.
Need a 52ish steel frame for a friend. Needs to be in good condition and a pretty dark colour ideally. Alternatively, I am happy to buy a beater for cheap and get it stripped/powdercoated.
Ideally have 125+ rear spacing/ok for 700c as have a Tiagra 10sp group to put on.
Cheers

Hi there, really like this and interested for a friend. What condition would you say the frame is in? Can't tell whether it is a bit ratty or just needs a clean (sticker marks on top tube maybe?)
Also, what are the clearances like? Would it take 28c? Are you in London?
Some more pictures of frame condition would be great.
Cheers
I haven't very far with the multiple other projects I have started over the last 2 years, so decided to do the only logical thing: buy a Gios! I have made this a priority, want to get riding it before the summer ideally. I've always wanted one, but don't like spending lots of money, so was pretty chuffed when I bid on a F&F from Canada that finished for £270. Was a bit of a punt, but luckily arrived safely and in great condition apart from a small bit of (badly touched up) chain damage. Everything polished up nicely, and the chrome is in great condition. I didn't like the carbon forks, and luckily @le_corbeau had exactly what I was after for for a good price (£100 IIRC). These also cleaned up beautifully.
After watching ebay for a while, I managed to get some good condition old Ventos for a reasonable £170. Problem is, these currently have an 8 speed Shimano hub/cassette on. I was considering Record 10 for the group, but I guess this means a bit of a hassle having the buy/change the rear hub now. Thoughts?
