I am terribly excited about the chili I have had on slow cook for about 14 hours now. I am also terribly afraid I didn't top it up with enough water and it will be dry as a bone when I get home... :/ Should be fucking good though! Started using my slow cooker more again recently. Fucking EPIC for long cook tomato sauces you can't be bothered watching and stirring for hours. I don't do enough stuff in it.
Anyone else got a slow cooker, and what do you do in it aside from the usual stews type stuff?

I've only ridden to Brighton once before and we were too lazy to plan a route so just took main roads and stopped at all the pubs. I'm not sure if I was drunk but I actually don't remember any hills at all, so I want to give this a go to see what all the fuss is about :)
In if I'm not still in Dublin for my mum's 60th.

^ this is good. I was going to bring mince pies, but there's been an... accident in the office, and I don't think I'll be bringing them now. Well, in some capacity I will be, but nobody else will be able to have one.
There is a very real rationing concern here. In theory the cake is actually for my work Christmas party tomorrow, but because of SE drinks tonight I made it yesterday. Now it's just sitting there fucking staring at me with it's tub of butter and half a packet of cookies icing...

Wikipedia says crackles can mean pneumonia, atelectasis, pulmonary fibrosis, acute bronchitis, bronchiectasis, post thoracotomy or metastasis ablation. I don't know what half those things are but they sound like great new excuses!
Basically, if you had any of the serious options out of those things, you'd fucking know about it, and everything else is just bigging up a fucking cold... :P Plus, other stuff like pulmonary fibrosis is a long term chronic kind of condition that isn't going to kill you tonight, so again, no excuse.......
