Pretty sure any local bike shop will give you a free box. Iv never had problems picking one up from local shops. If not just wait until the day before bins get collected and they will invariably leave them out for collection :)

Looking for a set of 7x2 downtube shifters, preferably shimano 600 or 105, maybe even spares repairs 600 shifters as mine have a few faults. Brake levers also, anything considered, again preferably 600/105 or even Exage in descent condition, nice hoods. And a stem, anything considered. Iv got a temperamental set of 7x2 RSX brifters, maybe for exchange, there in great condition cosmetically, just stick every now and again on the left shifter, right one is fine. May be a simple fix, just a bit of oil, they havent been used for a long long time.

Does anyone have experience using taper Campag cranks on a JIS BB. From what iv read, i gather they will sit 4mm or so outboard. I was just wandering if anyone had tried or ridden this set-up or if it really really is in my best interest to pick a ISO BB?? Replies would be most appreciated

I cant get over the amount of poorly built vintage road bikes being sold at extortionate prices on ebay that have been converted to ss/fixie with simple cable/tyre/bartape and saddle change. I notices this claude butler for £350-+£40 postage .

chain not in perfect line perhaps. iv had similar problems, also with tightening the chainring bolts which alleviated most of the problem, although my local bike shop suggested that my crankset was slightly bent.
