So has your bolt stripped or just come loose from the carbon? I'm not sure that there is another way to attach bolt holes other than rivnuts, I assume otherwise they would have to be bonded into the carbon which is surely weaker than a riv nut clamping down? I'd maybe contact ribble and see if they can offer any details on the contruction if you're worried about trying the fix, im pretty sure mine have been drilled out by matt and fully replaced as the top of the new bolt hole looks brand new.

If you ask your LBS they could surely save you a bit of the next steerer they cut down and then star nuts are like £1? That paul one is sure to be unneccessarily expensive (or let @chak send you one of course)
The build is looking good so far, any reason you didnt want to use the extra space above the front bottle to extend the frame bag along the downtube? Theres a large saddle bag worth of space to be had there!

I gave up and sent it over to @coldharbour in the end.
Is your frame alu or steel? it may be easier for you if so, my issue was that I couldn't grip the riv nut tight enough to remove the original bolt that was in it (as that seems to be seized in the riv nut too annoyingly) if it wasn't i'd have followed the method in this video to refix it! -

Im not massively fussed on the quality, but would like to keep my rear free of carbon splinters.
those do look nice to be honest, but am j any better off with one of those over another chinese carbon seatoost from ebay or the likes? As Ive got a ~no brand~ stem now the seatpost should probably also be free of logos.
Eventually if it all fits okay I may paint the frameset and colour code the stem.

Not got the frame back from having bottle cage bosses refitted, so I'm currently buying bits to peice together the build.
I currently want some new bars, and need a new seatpost (the one in the pictures is a loaner) ideally gloss finish carbon (to match the frame) and not layback.
Latest peice of this very slow puzzle. Is in the form of a stem, Kalloy uno 110mm 17° bargain at £20ish posted (cheaper if you can be arsed to wait for it to come from taiwan) doesn't look much, but it comes in at a very respectable 115g on my kitchen scales.

Thanks for all that @PhilDAS

SOLD SOLD SOLD
Hi guys,
Up for sale is my 54cm Caad 7 frameset.
Sadly it was sold to me as a 56cm and so it is too small for me.
Not much to say about it, its light and the carbon weave on the forks is beautiful!
sadly its not one of the more exciting colourways, but it is very stiff and a great ride!See photos for details, paint is not in perfect condition, but there are no dents or dings which im told is rare for the age as the Aluminium is very thin.
The carbon forks have some tiny scuffs but nothing structural. my only concern has been that the derailleur hanger may be slightly bent, i'm really not sure though to be honest.
they are readily available inexpensively so a quick and easy fix if so.I'm Looking for £200 ONO and i'm happy to post if needs be!
Forum donation will be made upon sale!
frame is currently at my mate's house in Putney, if you're serious I'm happy to fetch it and bring it more central.
