The Moccamaster was a wedding gift
You have good friends.
Shockingly I use London Tap Water™️
I was using the peak water filters for a while but in the end the improvement in taste wasn't worth the the faff imo, just dealt with the destruction of my kettle. I'd be a bit more protective of a Moccamaster.
then eventually install the filter system I've had in mind for years.
Yeah, interested to see where the chat goes on this, we're in the process of buying a house and having a brand new kitchen fitted so probably should have sorted it then but they seem pretty straight forward to fit at any point.

Watch the Hoff vid on brew method of you haven't already.
I've wanted a Moccamaster for years but just don't make enough coffee in one go to justify the space it'll take up, for the few occasions I make more a v60 is generally enough.
Still doesn't stop me searching online for one every couple of months.

Ouch
None of those prices seem outrageous to me, it's all increased infrastructure which will need people to maintain going forward, not to mention the liability the council needs to take on if they cause an accident by being poorly maintained.
I look forward to the increase in neighbourly parking spot wars they'll induce though.

But I agree, I was a bit put out at the lack of trying to make me welcome on first time of meeting that particular branch of extended family
Yeah, this doesn't tie in with my experience of French people, I mean, professionally it's expected they'll be cunts but friends and family less so.
salad with lardons…
Funnily enough my wife's go to method of getting me excited about salad.

Cote d'Azur
Tbf, that's a pretty long côte. I'd be amazed if you can't find anything vegan especially in the big tourist spots. Plus there's so much Mediterranean cuisine round there that will either be vegan already or will be with the cheese taken out.
I wouldn't worry, you're not in butter country.

At least, that's the way it used to be - I'm going there tomorrow for the first time in a decade and will see if things have changed.
Where abouts are you going? Allergies have always been your safest bet to avoid things over here but it's way better than it was 10 years ago.
If you haven't already, check out the fork site, it's the best for finding restaurants here.

I'm pretty sure it's a box ticking exercise, as in do you renounce your other citizenship yes or no. Not that they ask for an official document. Then you're just classed as Spanish and nothing else in Spain.
Personally I don't plan to return to the UK ever, I don't have connections left.
This makes it's easier, I'd just apply and then make the decision then. But I know an old couple, friends of my mum that have both passports.
Don't forget unlimited gak.
