I’ve put the rigid fork back in the unit in preparation for selling it. This second winter after a couple of days of spring has really knocked the wind out of me, so I couldn’t be arsed to do a proper ride with a Garmin. But I went for a pootle to the lake and to look at the boars in our “Wildpark”.

Frame's at the painter and I have a good chunk of the components. Some highlights: €30 for a set of King cages on eBay, Thomson seat post and silver top cap with green bolt traded with the ever so kind and gracious @Browndonneur , matching silver seat post clamp with green bolt provided with Northern charm straight from Barnoldswick.
Looks like we'll be building this the day before the show, so I really can't forgot about some crucial part. 🤞

I've had trouble booking bikes on international ICE trains though
Ah yes this was my mistake, I looked at bringing a bike to the Netherlands and then assumed all ICE travel was very complicated. Good to know!
My plan for international train travel is removing the wheels and carrying it Rinko style in a bag like this:
https://sciconsports.com/eu_de/weiche-fahrradtasche-travel-basic-schwarz-tp007000509
Based on what I've read it's mostly allowed but you run the risk of getting refused if the Schaffner is having a bad day.

Yoke was pricey and heavier for more clearance than I needed, can't imagine wanting bigger than the 2.35 it's designed around.
The fork is swappable for a 100mm SID while keeping the geo intact. Current thinking is rigid fork for local "gravel" rides and longer touring on not particularly challenging surfaces and the SID for when it's a mildtainbike.

Annoyingly there’s a small amount of rear disc rub. I tried to reposition the caliper but it always seems to work its way back to the same place. Perhaps the frame needs more facing on the caliper mount so I’ll book it in with the shop that build it so the can take a look.
Parallel Handbuilt often raves about using copper washers for flat mount, supposedly stops the caliper from moving around.

Cranks will be black Hope with a silver ring, it's really just the pedals that need ordering still. Those R2 jobbies will be fine I think so I believe that's all important decisions made. Paint will be done by Carbel Colours in Copenhagen, it's going t0 be a similar effect to his own bike but with green on green on green.
