Cheers for the link.
Thankfully I bought it like that and wasn't riding it. It was from an auction so no papers or idea who the original owner was :( I've actually sold the knackered frame to someone who wants to repair it (and I was advise it was repairable) but looking at the cost of a new frame it makes more sense to split the components rather than rebuild on a new frame.

Anyone living in hackney has good oppurtunity to earn money by buying and selling bikes. but dont buy stolen bikes or you end up in big trouble. All bikes have serial number on them. Cyclist please register your bikes online- its Free.
Lol, this is like joining a cycling forum and then explaining to people how to ride a bike.

First, Mavic open pro rim 36h on a Suze flip flop hub. Practically mint, tiny tiny signs of use on the braking surface but absolutely no wear. Rim is perfectly true, ss spokes, lovely Suze flip flop hub, bearings perfect. Hub is mint, just a bit dusty in the pic, will give it a good clean. I think £70 is a fair price? (ignore the cassette, no idea how it ended up on there)
Next is an interesting one, Rigida rim on a histop coaster brake hub. Rim is perfectly true and braking surface unused, it's actually mint just very dirty in the pics. Hub looks fine, will give it a good clean. Quite a strange/hard to find type of wheel. £45?
Would prefer to meet at Stratford but can do highbury and anywhere else within reason on the tube.

Splitting one of thesehttp://www.evanscycles.com/products/cannondale/supersix-105-compact-2012-road-bike-ec032125
All spec as shown on there, I'm currently away from my camera so no pics but everything is practically mint apart from the cranks which have some tiny marks but no heel rub.
Full 105 10speed groupset + the cranks and bb. Shimano spd pedals fitted. 300.
Aksium rear wheel only. 65
Cannondale c3 stem 10
Cannondale headset 25
Cannondale seat post 10Frame and forks are damaged and I was quoted 500 to repair.
Quite possibly the worst sales post I've ever written but unfortunately I'm on my phone. Please pm for any details or questions. Will get pics up tomorrow, but it's only a year or so old so you can imagine the condition of the bits.

I figured this wasn't really the place to sell it, nothing like a bit of pre sale banter tho LOL.
Now listed elsewhere, should be interesting to see what happens, it's a lovely bike no matter what, though I must admit the pedals are a bit....weird. I'll stick some better pics up later if anyone wanted to see it up close.Daz

A fine Bike
Lot of pretentious shit on here.
Peddles and saddle are personal choice.
The price is a good, it's about the same sale point as a Colnago C50.
Good luck with your saleThank you. Pedals came with it when I bought it, sure they're nothing special but they do the job fine. Nice to see the forum banter is alive and kicking!

Not sure if this suits the forum, but you don't know unless you try right?
I have this beautiful full carbon De Rosa Avant to sell. It's been heavily modded with the campy bits and is in excellent condition, never been crashed or abused, no damage whatsoever to the carbon. Mechanically and cosmetically this bike is perfect. This is just a quick list of the specs as I'm not sure there will be any interest on here, but please do ask if wish for more details. I'm in Stratford, and will provide the buyer with a receipt as proof of purchase from me and a copy of my purchase receipt.54CM frame, top tube is 55cm
Groupset is full campagnolo Record Titanium/carbon, including the cranks
Headset is Chorus
Wheels are Bontrager race x line, sealed hubs, perfectly true
Seat post is carbon De Rosa
Seat is a battered Fizik, on a bike like this I understand it's a personal choice so rather than put any new one on, I would contribute towards replacing with what the new owner wanted (within reason of course)
Bars and stem are ITM.
Tires are mis matching, bonty race line and a gatorskin, both have loads of life left but I'm happy to buy whichever matching replacement the new owner prefers.Price : £1900, will consider any serious reasonable offers.

I've managed to pick up what was a mint super six until a car hit it, destroying the carbon frame :( Anyone got one to sell? I have forks. It was a white and black bike so would prefer the replacement to be black and white unless you have a frame and fork in which case the colours don't matter.
Oh, and I only have about £400 to spend.

This is now a perfectly working bike! Took it for a 20 mile ride today with absolutely no problems. Fitted an old fluted seat post and a rare avocet touring seat which doesn't really suit it but better than nothing.
Brakes aren't that good but will stop you, rear tire has loads of life in it. The campagnolo omega rear wheel has a 7 speed cassette fitted, shifting is fine but it doesn't go in to the highest cog, I will throw in the old rear wheel with the 6speed cassette which you can switch over if you wish. £200 for a fully working bike with vintage campagnolo bits on it, bargain in my opinion? (can of dr pepper not included) -

That is interesting information, Dazaa. It may compute with such a low retrieval rate for what's now endemic ...Brick Lane, Broadway etc.
A while back there was a problem with vintage Mercs being nicked and shipped out. Volumetrically, bikes probably offer a higher return for a 'lower risk', as it were.
Have you reported this concern?
Maybe I'll take a reccy. quite soon...and use some connections.I have reported it to the police, but knowing our legal system there is probably a law stopping them from just turning up and taking a look.
Funnily, I actually popped down to the ferry lane estate and asked a guy if anyone sold bikes there, he went in to a frenzy, stating how every bike he bought was from the police auctions, and he has had receipts for everything blah blah. Turned out he thought I was undercover police ( a teenager riding a Trek mtb wearing air jordans and jeans, maybe not the best of disguises).Anyway, I really hope these guys get whats coming to them.

I have been asked to sell this for a friend, I did want to keep it for myself but can't justify having yet another project added to the pile. I can't find out anything about Phil Galloway other than he still appears to be part of a cycling club and this bike was sold at his shop "Galloway cycles". This bike is very light, I'm certain the tubing will be something exotic, but unfortunately if any stickers were present they are long gone now, but believe me, this is no gas pipe frame. Rear drop outs are Gipiemme and fork drop outs are campagnolo. Spec is
57cm Phil Galloway frame and forks
Tange headset (chrome is like brand new)
Shimano 105 mechs
Campag gran sport pedals
Campag gran sport brakes (excellent condition but new hoods required)
Gipiemme cranks (sugino chain ring bolts and gipiemme rings)
Simplex shifters
Cinelli criterium bars
I think Cinelli stem
Shimano (i think 105) hubs on mavic rims. Hubs perfect, rear rim knackeredNow the bad bits,
Seat and post missing
Front tire knackered (plenty of tread but age has ruined the rubber, rear looks ok but would change)
Rear wheel rim is knackered
Needs a quick service as a precautionary due to not being ridden for years.Overall it's in really good condition, obviously it does have some battle scars but more than anything just needs a strip down and proper clean and polish. All things considered I think £200 is a bargain as it's easily worth £250-300 if stripped for parts (which IMO would be a real shame) Possibly even a whole lot more if you could ID what the frame tubing is, could be columbus?
If you were to bring a new tire for the front and a seat post, you could (carefully) ride this home as i'm sure the gears all work fine and the front braking surface is fine.
Collection from Stratford E15. I've done quite a few deals on here, so plenty of people to vouch for my reliability as a seller ect.pics uploading

All sorted thanks anyway
