My latest build is under way, and ill be needing some 1 inch diameter black carbon forks. Id love some straight blade forks, but im not too picky as long as they are in good and safe condition.

Anybody got anything they arent using?

Thanks for the offer of the frame. Im going to decline the alan annoyingly as its a well nice frame, i especially like the engraved lugs. It would have looked lovely resprayed a burnt orange colour with those lugs. My worry is that as its a bonded frame, with a repair to the head tube, and i fully intent thrashing it down some forest tracks, the thing might give and teeth will be lost.

Im toying with the idea of venturing into Cyclocross. Im looking for a frameset somewhere around the 56cm mark. I think id actually prefer steel but ill happily have a look at any alloy ones. I dont care what condition the paint is in as long as it is structurally sound

i cant seem to find a straight answer using google, so i put my question to the noble folk of lfgss. I have a bike with threaded bottom bracket, currently octalink. I want to get myself a nice carbon crankset to really finish off the bike. Do i need to stick with octalink / square taper or can i thread some sort of conversion in to use either hollowtech maybe even bb30? Any ideas?

I could offer a campag steel aero seatpost, or if your mike burrows was long enough, iwould cover what you paid for it. I think i need about 14cm of aero-ness but i would have to check for definite.

Sort of. I took it to one of the bike shops in the area, but one that specialises in wheel building. They built me a bladed spoke that fitted, cost me a tenner so you shud just be able to do the same. These are literally the best alloy wheels i have ever ridden. I got some and replaced the old yellow decals with 2013 ones and they look seriously nice. Dont consider any longer, just buy them, yoi wont regret it. I wudnt pay much more than £150 for them btw unless they are in absolutely outstanding condition.
