^ thanks for sharing. Good luck to authorities sharing in the few millions that have finally been awarded after being promised back in February ish.
I think we will continue to see an increasing difference in those authorities that get things done, and those that still won't or don't. It will be interesting to see this play out across the wards and boroughs, and what it means, if anything, at the next election cycle.

Update on the future of the Ride London Surrey (?) 100 event: https://road.cc/content/news/50km-ride-replace-ridelondon-surrey-100-mile-sportive-278057
From memory, "managing" the impact of future sports cycling events was in an action from surrey council's cycling strategy / action plan. They have run a public consultation in which over half of surrey residents who responded do not object to the continuation of the ride100, but the council are going to get rid of it anyway.
Sounds like a good opportunity for another home county to step in (Essex?) but the hills will be missed.

what kl says. I'm no expert, but from what I've seen I think it's sadly inevitable that a socialised dog will meet an unsocialised dog off lead... try not to feel guilty about it.
I've seen it happen with friends' dogs in town and in the countryside, but will be experiencing itself for ourselves at some point soon - we're in week 12-13 and about to take our puppy out for a first walk at the end of this week. Locally we've been recommended places which have a minimum of anger or stress from other dogs or their grumpy owners e.g. Shoreditch Park and Shepherdess Walk Park.
I've been reading Steve Mann's books and Ian Dunbar's stuff and they seem pretty good resources to minimise / manage these stressful issues - with some good tips around recall.

FMB Service Course tubs – 25mm cottonLove the bike, and swapped these out for a more touring / long distance wheelset. Can't see me racing on this or needing to go back to this wheelset.

Some stuff added - see photos at link above
Rapha 3/4 shorts, navy, 32" waist. Used, some wear and scuffing but life in them yet. I swear I'm also a 32" but these are tight on me (WFH / beer?) and I've since moved into Swrve's shorts which i prefer and fit me better (probably because their sizing is more "generous"). £30 ono
Barker, tan leather shoes UK9.5 (width F, i think). I don't want to post - would prefer you to try on, have a look at condition, and make sure you're happy with them. Bought a while back along with some others - the others were incredibly comfy and saw a lot of use and were resoled twice before finalling giving up one wet night walking around the west end. These tan shoes, I just don't get on with the colour unfortunately. Original soles - some wear but not much use - come and have a look and try on. £80 ono
Old eroica jersey, not official, Large, i reckon 40" chest (a bit big for me at 38"). £5 ono which will go to forum
Weighing scales, made in west germany, £5 ono which will go to forum.
Duffel bag, green, exodos.co.uk branded. Put some weighing scales in photo for guide on size. I think about 40l. £5 which will go to forum.
Some old black leather shoes uk10, nothing special at all - will head to charity shop soon unless someone wants them. £Free / forum donation
Dibs followed by PM - cheers
Pick up from N1 - don't want to post, sorry.

Cheers! i used to enjoy minidiscs - for a (short) time it felt like the future, then mp3 arrived in our lives. I began going digital with my music collection some time ago - this accelerated after a good friend left his entire CD collection in the back of a taxi after a long night DJing, and presumably drinking. He never saw that again, but he was thankful I'd already ripped most of them and added to my own collection.

Photo of player and used discs:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/mD3UX9ftMX7JhVWi8Can't @ Gaz either @anidel
Photos show make (sony) and model. I don't have the ability to test if the removable rechargeable battery works. The player powers up OK with the DC / AC adaptor shown in photo. The player looks like it works fine - playback and buttons work including the remote shown. But i know this stuff is old and unused for a while. so lets say £20, which i'll donate to the forum in a weeks time, or return if you aren't happy.
Because it is second hand electronics - Pick up preferred - N1.
Can post minidiscs. Theres 20. Havent tested them. I'd like £15 ono
Cheers!

@Stonehedge and @mmccarthy thanks both for your replies about the cona - sadly no fondue kit here or anything else to help me (I mourn the loss of my tangia several years ago), I think the rekrow style burner is the way forward for me. Will post back on any successful coffee making

This is an entertaining video - thanks for creating it. You didn't comment on whether the coffee was tasty or not, but I'm glad no harm was done to your home in making it! We have an electric hob, so no luck there - I'll look for something to provide heat for the genuine "table" coffee making environment.
