i know this is getting annoying, but need opinions.
nitto bars, seatpost, might get dura ace or omnium cranks if i have something to spare, if not it's gonna be a gimondi for awhile, all silver parts, but i can't decide which stem, votes?
i like the mash most, but there's part of me that wants to get a nitto stem to match up all the nitto parts.

I like this. I get tired of seeing "This is me on my £2k+ bike and my girlfriend on the token bike that I bought her, which cost about 1/10th of the price."
On this occasion both bike are super awesome. Hurrah!
Hahaha, agreed. she actually has been riding quite a bit more then me, so she more then deserves what she has...

edscoble, b; hahaha! strong reactions.... i kindda like how "raw/old skool" it looks.
i've been looking at others, but i really wanted something with at least 10 degree drop, currently using the jaguar, and lovin it. that's why i picked the three above, and i was so excited when i saw the fillet brazed one, but 0degree.
the moots one looks sharp! but not enough drop.
and the search continues....

1000; Haha!
dan; agreed, think he's jsut too busy building frames, and there's an option for a carbon fork, but i was thinkin if i wanted a carbon fork it would have been enve, haha.
b; i've been contemplating getting this for the longest time, and all the while looking for a 2nd hand one, but found nothing. i even asked tony if he had some old 2nd hand one that maybe he built for himself lying around and not getting as much use as it should, lol.

1000; interesting that you asked, i like steel frames, love in fact. wouldn't go so far to say that i have ridden a lot of them, but have owned quite a couple, didn't really like the skinny tubes of most steel frames, no disrespect i know how solid they are just a tad boring if you know what i mean, and thought how nice it would be to have something that looks like current track frames but in steel.
i've been looking at this ever since i saw pictures of the supernaut floating around, tried to find out more about it, most of what i could find were bits and pieces of information, love the overbuilt look, true temper tubes, short chainstays. snappy and fast.
read more researched more, loved what i saw, then i found out about standridge bikes, which i really love too. but it was a bit too "exposed" of sorts by the time i had some money for a new frame, the price is almost $600 more and the lead time is already almost 9mths. and there's demon, which is almost double the price (though i know he puts in a lot of work into the frames, and lead time was quite similar to standridge if i rem right), even looked at mercian, but it was a bit too traditional for my liking, (not that traditional is not good, just not now).
i wouldn't deny the fact that this is a bit of an "underground" brand that appeals to me, all my bikes are kindda that way, won't call them quirky but def not your run of the mill production bikes.
so yea, combination of geo, overbuilt, how it looks, and that feeling you get when you see the right one.

mechamorgan; i've checked according to the pro, there isn't enough material for that. if it was a cafe bike, i'd have gone ahead, but not on one that i would be pushing average speeds of 35-38km/hr.
edscoble; agreed, that's if i ever take it off, plus, i really wanted the frame to be "cleaner" gonna swap out some of those lights to make it look a tad more "streamlined"...
-
edscoble; roger and yea thought about it, but i figured, i would rather have it"removable" instead of having permanent holes on the frame.
amey;
yes! but i have to say i decided to get it before i saw that! and i wanted it to be a british racing green type of color too! i fell in love with the color the moment i saw it, on a loaned bike from my friend, a bridgestone mb4.
and somehow that vid was almost exactly how i would do it! but now that they have a vid of it, it'll look like i just copied it. well anyways, thought about enve too, but their stems are only a 6 degree drop, looking for something that is at least a 10 degree drop, best if it's a 15.
rogan; the frame and fork will be in matching colors, the one on top isn't mine!
anyone with recommendations for stems?
just checked and confirmed that i can't modify the alter to fit this. heartbreaking...

get them!
at your weight, they should be more then able to handle most things you can throw at them, and yea, they SHOULD look cooler...
