Got the dyad from bikewagon,
I queried the expensive shipping,
they reduced it drastically.

I think hubs are Maxi Car with high flanges, all shiny and holy.
40 holes ,sadly not the keyhole ones.

And started lacing.

To prevent it fraying further get it close to a flame,
crush it as soon as it starts melting.

I would leave it outside ,
as you have no access to anchor the cord to the seam.
Tie 2 succesives knots at the end of the cord,
tie to fat grey seam,
through the knots.
I would avoid sewing the cord:
it's elastic and the thread isn't.

Use a little piece of cloth as a gorge blocking/hiding the knots,
and preventing chafing to your gracious neck.

The BBB tool is nice on the road,

I checked the rear spacing with a 2.3 tyre on a wide rim, it's too tight.
I never ran more than 2.1,
rims were narrow then.

The hub is a Phil all shiny and sleek,
the freewheel next to it suddenly looked like a weak link.
Hadn't thought about it before.
I won't use more than 7 speed freewheels,
I broke a few mtb axles.

My rear hub uses screw on freewheels.
Are 7 speed shimano fine?
Do they hold up well to tandem use?
