Wingedangle .. that was perfect. Yeah reynolds 531 steel tubing seems to be the way to go but the track versions of them are very rare and quite expensive. Yeah i will definitely keep my eye out for a steel tubed frame set/bike. Thank you VERY much for the advice. And yes i am in london, south east to be precise.

lool, thanks ok123, i am wayy to tall for a 51 cm leader. And thank you ruffstuff, yeah the charge plug keeps on catching my eye. Also i have been keeping my eye out for fuji track bikes. I think if i could get a fuji track bike for a decent price then that would be ideal because fuji make some decent track bikes.

Advice needed on buying a first fixed gear bike
Hello, my name is Michael and I am 14 years old. (Soon to be 15 in a months time). This might be a stupid reason to start this thread but I need some advice on my first fixed gear bike.
I have been riding my brother's fixed gear bike for about 3 months now and I think it is time for me to get my own for the (hopefully) wonderful British summer ahead. I am looking for something quite light (around 9kg or less) and a 54cm-57cm frame. I am just lookign for advice on a first time bike, most of the riding i would be doing will be less than 20 miles and i live around a hilly area.
Thank you for reading, any advice on buying a first fixed gear bike will be appreciated. P.S. I am around 5'10 and 65kg if that matters.

Hello, I am looking for a beater track frame around the sizes 54-57cm for my summer project.
Unfortunately i have a very tight budget of around 70 pounds which is why i think finding a beater track frame will be quite difficult.
Also i wouldn't mind a full beater bike with track dropouts for around 170 pounds.
Thank you for viewing. To give you an idea of exactly what I am looking for here is an older thread for a beater: http://www.lfgss.com/thread101153.html
