Coming back home to Stratford this evening after work, headed up the Bow flyover as per usual when I'm confronted by a clueless bloke on some shit full suspension 'mountain bike' wobbling at a crawl between the side of the road and the middle of the lane.

Not all that strange a sight, except that instead of being in the left hand lane of this 2 lane section, he was in the right hand lane (before anyone says, there is absolutely no possibility to turn right after the flyover for quite some time, so he wasn't just getting in the correct lane). I told him to move to the left while the road was empty of cars before he gets hurt. He nodded at me but continued as he was.

One of the many reasons I hate using the bus when forced to is that you can see right into most cars and see just how many people are using a phone. Over the weekend witnessed a bloke who blocked the bus out of pure stupidity on a road with cars parked on both sides. There was more than enough room for him to pull in to a gap between parked cars but he didn't. Thought it was a bit weird until the bus squeezed past and I saw that he was tapping away on his ipad, propped on his leg, and not paying a bit of attention.

I've recently bought this - http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bikes/road/langster/langster-pro-frameset#specs in dark grey, however I'm a massive wuss and have decided I'm not going to run it brakeless as a summer commuter, so I'm in need of a suitable set of drilled forks to get it running.

I'd love to swap the fork currently on there for a drilled one - however I realise that it will be a rare day to find someone with a similar drilled fork who wants undrilled, so I'm more than happy to just buy the drilled fork. Something with a similar lack of rake to keep the geo as similar as possible would be ideal, but I'm open to other offers. I've got money waiting, happy to collect all over London or pay postage.

have a bombproof set of mavic cxp22 rims laced to unknown cup and cone hubs all in black. Has a 16t freewheel on it, located in E15. PM me if that's the kinda thing you are after

Thanks for that - I think you're right, the office bike rack will be quite secure, but I'm going to want to go out for drinks/go shopping as well and so I will have to leave it in places that are far less secure. Think I'll get a good proper size D lock and then use the U lock/cable for front wheel to frame and saddle to frame duties

Hey all, I am moving to London next weekend and just wanted some advice about using my fixed gear around London. I've ridden my bike previously in Birmingham and around Aylesbury/Milton Keynes, where I have been fine locking (for short amounts of time) with a On-Guard Pitbull mini lock and cable. I'm a keen follower of the Bike Locks that work and How not to lock your bike threads, so I know that this will not be enough when locking in London.

I will be living in Stratford (either locking bike in secure garden or leaving it inside) and riding it to the new Amazon offices in Holborn Viaduct during the week. My offices are supposed to have bike locking facilities as part of the car park, which I assume is underground.

So my question is - am I better off ordering a full sized U lock to use in conjunction with my mini U lock, or a proper big chain + lock that I leave at work most of the time (also in conjunction with the mini u lock)?
