Wow, how grotty? I mean, that's not great in the scheme of things. Might as well have bought a couple of BMW E30 M3s.
A couple of examples of stupid London 'growth' from elsewhere;
- Friend bought house in Notting Hill for £125,000 in 1991. Sold in 2010 for £1.4m.
- Friend got married, bought flat in Hornsey Rise in March 2012 for £220k. Separated a year later, flat sold in April 2013 for £307k. Every cloud and all that.
I think you'd have to be bordering on mentally-ill to pay today's prices for London flats.

Meanwhile, here in NYC we're back to the Noughties with the Lebanese Loop.

Nitto shims solve the 25.4-26mm problem, you know.

Tough crowd. There have always been 'perfectly crafted' bikes, you just never got to see them because the people who built them didn't take a million pictures of them, court 'likes' or do 'collabos' for fashion's sake.
That Saffron frameset itself (which, let's face it, is far more important than the build) is insanely nice. Near-Bishop-level attention to detail, for me. I can't get bored of fabrication like that.I can, however, get super-bored of safari hunters posing with Cinelli Lasers.

I'm torn.
Part of me really likes Cannondales, and wants a CAAD 10 frameset.
The other part of me counts how many CAAD 10s I see on the average 'quick' ride (within 25 miles I usually see at least 10 or 15) and thinks I should find a Jamis Eclipse 853 frameset and give it the mother of all repaints.
