I'm selling my Monitor Audio GX300 speakers, I still have the original boxes and all packaging, but slightly concerned about them going in the post.
I'm looking for recommendations on couriers to use for posting big heavy speakers. Any one in particular to use or is it just a case of going on Parcelmonkey? -
Yeah I do understand that some glues can actually be insanely strong. An example that comes to mind being the glue that was used on the fork on the Time Machine, I think going by the spec sheet, it was said that they carbon fibre or metal would fail before the bond did?
Even though I know that they obviously sufficient enough to be used in aeroplanes, it’s still hard to get past.
I guess it does indeed come down to it being done properly. Aeroplane manufacturers (maybe not Boeing) obviously have strict QC and it’s all done properly.
The problem is trusting small bike brands to be doing it properly. -

"The frame that broke had been raced at Hardline and seen numerous practice runs put on it in the lead-up to the Crankworx DH finals, so it hadn't exactly had an easy start to its life."

Ah should have mentioned it was repainted by the original owner @broken_777 who works for Fairlight. I'd argue that it's nicer than any of the stock colours and doesn't have the horrible decals on the top tube.

interesting is that Atherton have a double metal wall in their joints
Yeah, I was reading up on single wall versus double wall lugs last night before I fell asleep.
Seems like a bit of an engineering oversight going with single wall lugs.
One would assume that Pivot had tested the bonded single wall lug to failure before letting anyone ride a frame, but maybe not.
From what I’ve read, the double lug method that Atherton use seems much less likely to fail in this way but I still don’t think I could trust a double lug bond either.I think the prototype Demo frame has been through two seasons of WC racing now, I’m wondering if it uses single or double wall lugs.
