Sat here thinking to be honest id rather the police get involved and it get dealt with that way.
This smacks of guilt.
You'd rather get the cops involved because you know you have committed fraud. You have spent the money and you don't have it to pay back. You're trying to call bluff here. Maybe you're not that bothered about another criminal record and would rather that than pay these people back. You know how long it will take for these people to get their money back by going to court. You probably think these people will just let is slide. But they won't.
