Nice ride blacklisted. Does it have hidden mudguard fixings? Also I'd be interested to hear your impressions on the ride when you get it out?

There are no mudguard fixings. This is a full on race bike. I've got 25c tyres on it and clearances are very tight, there is about 2mm between tyre and seatpost.

The disc road bike is awesome blacklisted. Looks smart and fast. Did you build the wheels yourself or are there OTP disc road wheels out there?

The wheels are from a firm called Remerx, the model is MasterDisc. It's hard to find Campag freehub disc 135 spaced wheels! There really isn't much choice out there!

And what's the seat post? Looks like the sort of thing I'm after.

Seatpost is a 31.6 Chinese carbon job that I've had for a couple years. Works fine except I changed the bolts as they were very soft alloy!

Where did you get it from, and whats the geo on that?!

Got it from eBay, a seller called a_baygoods. It arrived in about a week! And I didn't get stung for import tax, which is always a bonus!

Not weighed it yet. It's no weight weenie though. I estimate it's between 7-8kg

Yes they are very similar. Is it a 1x9 you are running? I love the simplicity of the SSCX for racing, no need to worry about gear selection and if it gets too tough to ride then just run!

Well it's yet to make it onto an actual CX 'course' but I'll let you know if I enter a race with it. As it stands I'll be mainly using it as a winter training tool...

Awesome, hybrid/cx mashup bikes always look like a ton of fun, don't think you will have issues with clearance. Also is that a wi freewheel on it?

Yea it's a WI freewheel that I got off a friend along with the wheels for nothing! The guys a legend. He said I was doing him a favour as his shed was full of old 'junk'.....

Built myself a single speed CX bike from an old Raleigh hybrid. I'll post the spec if anyone's interested.....
