If you are quick (hour and a bit to go...) and don't mind a touring frame...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171009189811?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 I got one 26" very long stays so a bit slow in turning, but very versatile (up to 2.2 clearance for tires, carries 20-25 KG and all that)
This one has a 46 cm top tube...

I am building up a vintage bike with ... tubs.
After buying them (WANT SO PRETTY WITH FRAME) I ended up wondering if maybe I should've held out buying wheels (from lfgss G40s on Record) but after reading this thread...
I will stop worrying and start loving the tubulars but get a set of pitshop just in casey...glass bin Belfast comes to mind.
I think I will go for Tifosi tape though, I'm the person who gets grease everywhere when she does bike maintenance. Cement glue all over doesn't sound appealing...and it's a **** to remove from the rims too. It can only end badly in my hands... :)

Hi thanks for all the replies :)
I now found most parts via an old bike sold elsewhere. But I do still need:
36 or 38 cm handlebars period correct (cinelli would be nice, as stem is cinelli)
super record brake levers (found brakes) ideally with hoods in ok/good nick as hoods alone are £25 to replace -

I know my chain is stretched when the cog is so backwards my tire ends up rubbing the mud guard... probably nowhere near going to come off but annoying.
The single-link KMC that came with the charge hob had a link removed after 500 miles but it's now stretched out again. It was fine single-speed but once I went fixed you could nearly see it stretch.Time for a new one!

"Christopher Snelling, of the Freight Transport Association backed the plans, particularly the increased use of segregated cycle lanes.
He added that the more people use bikes instead of cars, the more space that will be left on the roads for freight vehicles."HAHA Lorry Drivers VS Car Drivers.... round 1!
Do these motorist group people not realize more bikes is less traffic jams to sit in? Same for better public transport, get those annoying other people of the road ;)
The gentle way of not taking space away from cars doesn't work. CTC did some work on this, only way to get people to walk/cycle is to give them space, which means you need to take road/parking space if there isn't anything else.

Hi -
Thanks for all the replies!
I now only need: 38 cm wide vintage bars, super record brake levers.
I need a whole lot of vintage campy parts for a 1978 Ciocc San Christobal build (see here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread100258.html)
Ideally the parts are the right era, but I already found out that many older Nuovo Record seatposts are very short, which means I may have to sacrifice period correctness and go early 80s.
The same is true for cranksets, 198x ones are easier to find than 197x ones and as long as the chainline is correct, and they work with the bottom bracket, so be it.
I am in Norn Ire, Royal Mail should be OK for posting items.
Thanks for reading :)
Bottom Bracket (British Thread) Headset (Italian/British) Seatpost (must have 12 cm length above safety so at least 20 cm length I guess?) Fluted Front derailleur Nuovo Record with clamp Rear derailleur NR Pedals (these can be gran sport or non campy I am less fussed there) Brake Calipers (ideally Super Record) Down tube shifters with clamp Crankset (Campag…165 or 170 length) 6 speed block (British Thread) Chain (6 speed) Stem 8 cm Handlebars 36 or 38 cm -

MRVeg depends on your upper body...I got a 30 inseam but at 5 5 and female (short upper body) 53 top tube is stretching it a bit on a drop bar low stem bike. Check reach on other bikes of similar type to guesstimate :)
(I got a 55.5 TT tourer to work but it means saddle all the way forward and uglyish 7 cm hi-rise stem...a too long TT is hard to correct, 2 cm too short not so much 10 cm and voila)
Standover fine for 30 inseam though. Unless you want more than an inch to clear for some reason.

Same dilemma for me, get cheaper parts and get full campy later, or wait? I decided campy...but it means a delay.
That's a lovely bike and I agree that it's a shame Gazelle doesn't do racers anymore. It seems the competition is too fierce and they now focus on roadsters.

Aluminium rims so acetone fine
Seems I'm an "idiot" possibly i will end up covered in cement is "idiot" better or worse than idiot? I must know ;)
Anyhow as long as the tire doesn't roll off it's for street use in good weather (79 ciocc with campy SR group going on) I'm happy.
