Just finished my Peugeot SLX with contents from the Campag parts bin, despite this its still got some decent kit...CDA cranks, 8 speed syncros with Chorus rear mech and levers with xenon calipers.
So to cut to the chase, once built earlier this evening - I promply nicked the C Record cassette wheels out my Vitus 992...stuck em in the PUG and with a tinny in pocket and still in civi (non cycling) clothes went for a spin up local hill and a bit of off road tracking to the point where the pic was taken....Am I the only one so excited at this stage of a new build that I never fitted bar tape or cut any cables on maiden voyage??
**Futures notes to one self - **
- Get phone with better camera...HTC desire is a poop.
- Sell Vitus 992 as this wont get ridden now and cant justify 2 retro's
- Contemplate stripping C Record group off 992 and sticking on this!
- Buy bar tape for Peugeot!
- Trim cables on Peugeot!

Although you say you won't post yet, can I express my interest in the calipers if you can post.
Also V V IMPORTANT (and through experience!!) be VERY careful taking those crank caps off, they seize in and the allen bolts round off...I just spent the best part of a week with easy outs, a drill, half a can of plus gas and no end of patience getting the little shits out of mine!!

Are you sure the tope tube is only 52cm? It looks either the same or longer length than the seat tube to me.
Also can you do a "effective horizontal TT" measurement?
Thanks.
I've just double checked and sure is 52cm top tube with an effective top tube @ about 51cm, I guess this is in order to compensate for the longer drop and tri bar stretch, this frame was built into a bike used with tri bars - infact it did a 55 minute 25 back in 1997!
The frame wasn't originally mine but belonged to a rider who was 5'10" with just short of 32" inseam if that helps with regard to sizing....it also ran with a 13cm stem.
This is standard construction for these from the factory...nothing untoward here
