Essentially to resolve condensation issues (if it's defo condensation) you need to raise the temperature of the cold surfaces as much as possible and increase ventilation. The best way to do this effectively is to have the heating on at low levels for sustained periods of time (so the wall temperatures don't drop). Ventilation wise ideally you'd introduce cross-flow ventilation rather than single opening ventilation.
Chimney vents should always be open to vent both the stack and the room. They'll also introduce a bit of cross flow ventilation if you only have one window in the room.
If you're drying clothes in a room it will result in a lot of moisture being released then condensing on walls so get that room heated and ventilated as much as possible.
Full cavity insulation can also act as a damp bridge in some circumstances but as you've noted north facing walls tend not to get as warm as other walls so are more prone to condensation...

Anyone have any recommendations for something similar to Pacenti SL23s but not tubeless ready? Needed for racing/good weather training. My LBS has recommended Kinlin XT22 but I think they're tubeless ready again and I f**king hate putting clinchers on tubeless ready.
The Pacenti's rim cracked in a minor off (spoke pulled through) which is apparently a pretty common defect with them...

Diesel spill on the mini-roundabout at the top of fountain drive (heading down hill). Chap in front almost lost it, I took a tighter line and did. Posted on our club forum to warn and someone else saw another rider hit the deck there. It's the shittiest roundabout to start with without this additional bonus.

Anyone know where I can pick up a slightly narrower than normal spacer to sit between the top cap and stem on my CAAD 12 please?
Also @Dammit, what was the thick red grease you used on the bottom bracket? Have also read elsewhere (and subsequently lost the link) that it's the best thing for keeping grit etc from the bearings...

I pretty much stopped drinking for 6 weeks due to studying earlier this year and subsequently dropped about 3.5kg below my usual race weight. On the upside I was markedly quicker on the hills and rich, on the downside photos of me around this time show me looking a bit too skinny...when your head looks a bit big for your body. Happily usual race weight was achieved after a long weekend in Munich, apparently a beer and sausage diet allows you to put on 1kg each day if done correctly.

I'll have to strip it down completely regardless, so I guess the cost of posting back to Germany & the hassle of boxing up etc may outweigh the bother of taking it to Evans for example?
I'd hold Cannondale responsible as the defect would be a result of their lapse QA, whether I'd be covered by any consumer rights I don't know?
Honestly I really should have given up on Cannondale. First CAAD 10 written off less than 5mins into first ride. Supersix HM had to send back the first two frames received as the rear dropouts were 'out' and now this. Fucking balls.

So despite @Dammit's generous efforts the creak in my CAAD12 BB has returned. I think there's a manufacturing problem as it's been rebuilt 4 times and chewed through 3 sets of bearings on the left hand side.
I brought the frame online from Germany but Cannondale seems to say I can take it to an official dealer on the same continent. Can anyone confirm this?
Given what I've heard about Cannondale and the nature of the issue; not blatantly obvious. I'm sure I'll have lots of fun trying to sort this out. Is there anyway I might also be able to claim back the money spent on parts and labour as I'll need to shell out all over again once/if the frame is replaced?

Yes! I'll send you a pm in a mo @Dammit

Think I've had it with my CAAD 12/BB30a/SISL2 set up. Forth visit to the bike shop which involved a full strip down, replacement bearings (the last ones had done all of 200km) and it's creaking again. Have people had better luck with the wheels etc conversion kits? I've got an old set of SRAM red cranks that I think I'll use instead.
What's the going price for used SISL2 cranks with spider-rings?

Here's my CAAD 12. It's kind of replacing the Supersix HM I wrote off racing in June (actually written off by the fucknuts who couldn't manage a simple corner resulting in him crashing front of me, leading to an acrobatic 40kph flip on my part).
I will be getting a blingy new crabon bike at some point but this will be my race/training bike. It's very pretty but the bottom bracket creaking has been an absolute nightmare from the start. Having picked it up again yesterday from the bike shop it seems to have been fixed but I'll put in a few more mile before confirming.
It really feels built for racing so looking forward to properly putting it through its paces!

Just to add to that, severe asthma, which you had as a child is very different to sports induced asthma (which I've suffered from since about the age of 13). One can be life threatening whilst the other restricts your sporting ability, although it can get a bit nasty when you have a proper chest infection to go with it.

Yes I have. No contact made and no footage of incident hence the initial reluctance to report to the police.
I'm fine, old and ugly enough to have dealt with this kind of thing before, although his absolute rage did give me enough concern that he may follow through with the threats to hop onto the kerb behind a lamppost...
When the market is like it is at the moment, block viewings just piss people off...
