Hey guys, beware of buying the Coshee Micro. I bought it for a 14 days trip across France and one of the poles broke the 10th night I pitched it. It´s a pretty clear design fault, as the pole is cracking in the same place on the other side.
I´ve sent an email to Terra Nova 5 days ago and still no reply.

Hi guys,
I was doing the last adjustments in my bike to set it up for a 1500km trip when I have discovered a crack in one of the stays near the right dropout. It´s quite a big crack and all the load is going to be carried over it, so I can´t risk on this.
I really need to have it repaired before Wednesday as I have the ferry booked for that date. I can´t postpone the trip because I´m going back to my hometown and I have already sent all my luggage and my rent is ending on the 5th of July.
I don´t need a nice repair, just something functional that lasts at least two weeks. I don´t mind how much to pay, I just need it to be done asap.
Please let me know any workshops or builders that can take the frame either today or on Monday for repair.
I´ve tried to contact Jake Rusby as he already did some repairs on this frame but his phone is off atm. Should I try Talbot or Oak? I´m not sure if they´ll accept this type of jobs.
Edit: I´ve just been speaking with Jake Rusby and I´m taking the bike today to his workshop. Hopefully he can do it for Monday or Tuesday.
Thank all of you guys! I really appreciate your help! Will let you know any news. -

Need some help with this two options to cross to France:
1 London to Portsmouth on the same day, wild camp somewhere near Portsmouth, get up very early to catch the first ferry to Cherbourg in the morning (9:00).
2 London to Portsmouth on the same day, make some time visiting the town, have dinner and then take the night ferry (11ish I think) to Caen (arrives the next morning).
I reckon the second one is the best choice but I don't know if it would be possible to sleep during the trip. Are there any comfy sofas or beds on the ferry?

I guess Thermarest is the choice if you don't want to go wrong.
What I wouldn't recommend is Karrimor. I got this when the price was down to 22GBP as it seemed a bargain to me: self-inflatable, pretty lightweight... Well, the reality is it only self inflates 1/3 of it, then you'll need to blow for about a minute to get it fully inflated. Apart from that, it takes a ridiculous amount of space, but I guess it's the same for any thick self-inflatable mat.
I also got this cheapo Z Rest knock-off: http://www.karrimor.com/karrimor-folding-sleep-mat-782058?colcode=78205816
I thought I coulnd't go wrong for 10 quid. Haven't tested on the ground yet but it's comfy and light. Not sure about how long will it last. Doesn't seem very sturdy.

I don´t think the dropouts on my frame have enough length to run cogs with two tooth difference. I´ll try to find a second hand 20t sprocket and run 19 and 20.
@edscoble Thanks! I´m running a 47t chainring.
What gearing were you using on that picture? 47x19 is exactly 65GI and 47x20 about 62GI.

As a preride preparation for my London to Bilbao trip I did a test ride this weekend from London to Seven Sisters and back to London with the bike loaded and 47x18 gearing. Few pictures to bring your attention:

I got home on Sunday with my knees totally destroyed. Had to push the bike in a few hills, so I'm wondering if I should probably go to something even softer maybe? I have 18 and 19t cogs which I was planning to use for this trip (19t for UK and Spain and 18t for France) but I'm really concerned with the hills in the spanish part.
Should I go to 19 and 20t cogs insted of 18 and 19?

Cheers guys! I'll try to figure out the exact date I'll be taking the ferry so that I can book it in advance and avoid any issues.
@Tomo187 I'm leaving London by the end of next month and riding back home to Bilbao across the western coast of France.

Chains on a fixed gear transmission elongate basically when starting and stopping. 50x13 is a very tough ratio and you probably need to push pretty hard when starting from a red light, so that´s where elongation comes from.
