Saga begins once again. Running fine all winter. SV has started just....shutting down.
No timing, no reason. Starts on the button every morning. Idles nicely, no pops, no bangs, fine through out the rev range in all gears. At lights or low speed, it just sometimes dies. Leave it a few minutes and starts right back up.

@Jung question. If say the thermostat or radiator switch are faulty on an FI bike, will the ECU shut the bike down if it overheats?

I dunno man, it’s hardly the 80’s anymore. I think final drive issues are the same all around.
I’ve been hammering the tiger all winter Road and dirt and the Scottoiler has kept me pretty happy for said time.

If anything, I’ve had more bouncy bit issues than chain.

Keep them indoors a while. I’ve hardened and planted my stuff outside and I’m having a right fucking battle against slugs. They’re battering everything.

The guy that let me try his multi V4 commutes from Bedford to London 3 times a week on it. He said he’s had zero issues so far. Saying that, he did say it’s super hot in start stop riding.

I’ll resist trying the Desert X as long as feasible.
Saying that, one of the bikes I’ve ever used and felt instantly right on was the Multi 950. Would in a heartbeat.

Reckon anything that size and stance of the GS in electric form would be so fucking heavy it’d remove any existing fun aspect out of owning two wheels.

New GS is looking good. Much more compact than the latest crop of ‘adventure’ stuff. That extras book is fucking massive.

Runners. I’ve started running/jogging/whatever recently and really enjoying it; but my outer left knee tightens up after about 20 minute and doesn’t so much as hurt as just feels incredibly tight and uncomfortable.
Is it just weak, unused musculature?
I stretch plenty, so not sure what it is. What are my next steps? Should I go see a gait specialist?

First set was fucking All balls as per recommendation from adventure rider. All shite more like.
Second set was supposed to be OEM from WeMoto. Obviously not. Had them workshop fitted. Dust seal springs rusted in a month. Pissed out oil today; MOT day.

Tho without static sag set not sure how that would affect the rest of the settings.

Massively. At really compression bouncy bits would be rebounding much too slow on big hits.
Chain tension is fine, it's the front end head shake at high speed rebound that seems all wrong.

In other bullshit, the fucking seals on the tiger forks are leaking again.
What do people use for dust/oil seals?
