Swiss Cottage roundabout, always a sketchy manouvre to get through on a bike and the other morning I was on the bit that turns into the finchley rd and goes past the odeon.
I absolutely despise that section with a passion. Seriously, I want to wipe off the face of the planet. I have never felt safe there and is one of the few sections of London tarmac where I will not hesitate to blow through the lights at every opportunity I get. Going up towards Finchley Rd from Camden is fucking hideous. Everything coming from everywhere. I still don't understand the point of the lights around that bed (I've nearly been flattened so many times there, no idea what makes people think they can overtake) They go green, and so do the main ones next to them. All hell breaks loose. If you can't torpedo it off the lights instantly, you're swamped by Coaches going 40mph.
Hideous fucking section.

I come to you once again, great lfgss-verse.
Really didn't get along with these. No idea why I even thought I would. Not used much to be honest. They MIGHT be missing a couple of the bolts/washers, but these are standard biz you can find for pennies (or I will). I'd like to swap them for some horizontal ones if anyone has any lying around. I be in the baker street area if anyone wants to gaze upon them.
Hit me up

You guys seem to have missed my point - shouting out plates and telling people off is a fairly dick move, but does that detract from the driver who's on their phone going dangerously near an unprotected person with 2 tons of metal?
We shouldn't overshadow that. I mean honestly who doesn't see at least one incident of illegal and/or dangerous driving pretty much every time you go out?
Completely understandable, even the plate shouting as a deterrent, it works. When it evolves into a tool for some people to use it as a basis to criticise everyone on the road, that becomes a problem. Also not sure about people knocking on windows and having a go at people for using phones. Yes, its wrong, but If everyone took it upon themselves to be a person of authority, carnage will ensue.

No point lying and saying that's in any way gonna stop me eating meat, but two things blew me away. First is every time I harden myself up enough to go into a super store, it always decks me out how much FOOD there is in there. Like...where does it come from? Especially the meat which has a short shelf life. So much, so often, and this is just one store!
The second is the infrastructure in that video is astonishing. The mammoth sized centrifuge looking mother just feeding and collecting...
If anyone's seen (I haven't read it) Cloud Atlas, this video reminded me of the bit where he leads her into the factory to witness the re-cycled butchery.
I wonder how long before we're all Soylent Green...

Christ Husy, you've had quite a time of it.
Seems weird, confronting police like you just did, but I guess I've forgotten the UK context. Talking to a copper like that here in Kenya would quickly lead to a bullshit charge and either a night in jail or £70 bribe.
First time I read that I genuinely thought you mean "a bullshit change". As in, you're standing in court and the judge says " Mr Ndeipi, you are hereby charged with bullshit...."

Every year there's a "cyclists should be registered, cyclists should be trained, cyclists should pay tax" article.
Realistically, who is going to pay for the implementation? It's a total non-argument as the costs and policing would far outweigh any return from the cyclists.
Meh. Helmet debate >>>
This a million times. Cycling is allegedly getting more and more popular right, thus more people on the street. Bikes are small/multi use vehicles. I.e they serve multi purposes for transport, recreation, fitness etc. bought new and second hand. So how do you enforce a tax on all these bikes being ridden at random times and sold/bought randomly
Too. Cars have a large footprint, bikes barely any. Itll be like the 30's prohibition, a futile excercise that will backfire.
Education, education, education.
Design patent? How do you even enforce that, more importantly, WHO would enforce that.
