You can apply with the DVLA stop paying vehicle tax if your vehicle was built more than 40 years ago. This date moves forward on a 40-year rolling system. For example, when the ULEZ launched in April 2019, vehicles built before 1979 were eligible to apply for historic vehicle tax class.
All vehicles that have a historic vehicle tax class are exempt from the ULEZ.

They do. In theory it’s all sawmill off cuts and felled trees that it turns out aren’t good enough to use for anything else. No doubt everything chopped down is replanted and managed, this is Germany, and the pollution is contained in one place, away from housing so it’s better than everyone having home fires, but in reality everyone still burns their own wood because it’s more or less free and they’ve done it for generations, so no DVDs necessary.

Our pals live in a village in Bavaria where lots of the houses are heated by a municipal wood-burning energy generator: https://www.naturwaerme-reit-im-winkl.de/

Still, as an accountant I'd much rather see the £££ roll in from almost unlimited MoonSwatch sales than a brand awareness change.
This only works short term. When a brand / product becomes too common it loses its appeal as a posh and desirable thing. Lots of firms surrender to this, become super desirable for 5 minutes and grab the quick profit but it fails long term.
North Face sell a lot of jackets now, but they won’t next year.
