whats the point of having that stem when you're going to use the spacer

the bottom spacer is there to clear the top tube when in full rotation...

or until the tire comes into contact with the downtube

my other stem is currently married to some compact drops that woulda made the ride much easier or more aero

that mash is to which i strive for... oh well cant complain tho

... out fighting winds in the winter sun, compact bars woulda been much more sensible after thought

Upon closer review, you sir are correct

I can hardly accept putting my life in the hands of 2 bolts holding the drive train still
but have 4 bolts to have to worry about torquing down

maybe if it was spot welded on at the frame

... still ugly

i'd have to agree on all counts

... unless you don't mind being restricted to taking really wide corners or learn to predrift to prevent yer pedals from scraping

Dropped my chain going downhill so i had to foot jam to bring it to a stop about 30ft from the light.

felt really out of synch switching back to toe clips'n double straps from velcro straps

annywho, at least none of the spokes were damaged unlike the last time it happened

so weird how just the slightest gear change can make such a difference with timing

have been riding 47/17 most recently but went back up to 52/19 because it was a dry sunny day
