I blacked out the Q Rings to look like the 2014 version and they're a lot easier on the eye. Also that's a Prosecco cork not a Champagne one as I live near Valdobbiadene in Veneto.

Cheers, guys. So the mesh is more of a autumn / winter thing whereas the standard is a winter item? Hard to choose correctly for north Italy as it doesn't get so cold unless in the mountains. Would be mainly wearing it under jersey/gabba jersey/gilet combos.
Also read that Stannard wore the mesh at Omloop so perhaps that is a better option?

SiDi are nice but bloody heavy (+ ca. 300g on my Giro's) and expensive. The one thing going for them is all the replacement parts are easily available...and replaceable. On my group rides here in Italy you see some SiDis which are easily five + years old still going strong.
I prefer Giro though, more to do with fit but I've never had a problem with them (to be fair they've been all top end models) and sold my SiDi Wires.

"Climbers" shoes but basically heavier than the Giro equivalent they're based on, however also the same price. Would have looked nicer if they'd kept the straps without the holes - black ones look good.

There is a gabba 2 in September. I here Bioracer have one in the pipeline as well.
Looking at the Garmin Gabba they wore in the TdF - if it is version 2 (which I am very sure it is as they produced one for Garmin in blue) - there's hardly any difference if at all. If anything, they've cut costs as it no longer has the furry collar (they lost that quite soon after first run anyway) or the metal grommets on the back.

I may be wrong but it looked like another rider suffered a similar fate on his Canyon on the Roubaix stage, too. After he crashed into the crowd his cockpit was dangling from his bike.

Interesting. I don't think its a budget constraint though, as there are no aerolights at all, at least not in the first 3 stages. Saw the team car whiz by today and all are regular 695's.
Exactly. Surely LOOK would want both of their latest bikes in the shop window.

To be fair the Pro Team line is hideously based upon the UK climate. I thought the climbers jersey (as an eventual PT product) might be a step forward for us in European climes but at €180 you can f*ck right off, Rapha.

A lot of riders in the grand tours pre-support used to wear one as they'd need it after raiding cafes and shops for drinks etc.

A couple of friends have Aerororororoads - they say they are nice and not too harsh considering the aeroness. Funny geo though.
Not actually all that aero compared to the normal CLX...saves 17secs over the course compared to the CLX so almost pointless basically.

Did he ruin his Rapha kit in the collision or something? Was he not aware of the free repair service?
