Just had it confirmed via the frame number that it is a Roberts made out of Columbus slx.

Now to get building...

So I did some digging, and found out that the frame was a Roberts previously owned by @gizmond and then sold off. In that time the frame had been repainted and fork changed.

100% sure that the frame is Roberts, probably Columbus slx but not sure about the forks.

Got myself a Roberts from the 'bay.

What's the best way of identifying it? The frame looks to have been repainted in its time and the serial number is pretty hard to work out. Just wondering if there are any characteristics I should be looking for before I start removing paint.

Also - looks as if the fork has never been chopped down? There's 2 threaded race on top of each other haha (thanks for "fitting a headset" seller..). Or could be a non original fork.

looking at getting a pre cursa - im 5'10, and im stuck between getting the 52/54. Anyone else who is around my height got any input that could help? (i know its a pretty impossible question, for all you know im all legs)

yeah, the wheels were second hand and the guy had put red electrical tape on there... just haven't got round to trying to remove it

Managed to get this beaut off of the bay. Have wanted an old school Caad to fill my desires for a while.

I know some of them had 1/1 8 fork but this is a 1 inch. Frame is in great condition - no dings or anything. I couldn’t find the original frame in the old catalogs so am thinking it’s probably a respray jobby?

Initial build will be using components from previous bike, but treated myself to a new crankset to start.
