I agree with Odonata for once, this is another excuse to post my latest bike!
I have no chance of beating my PBs (short 22, long 55) set on long-dead dragstrips in my last 'proper' racing season 15 years ago, but I'm going to have fun finding out how fast I can go. My previous PBs were similar, but set in '82 on spokey wheels and upturned Cinelli 66s.
Time to set some new targets.....

Nope not ridden yet, only finished two days ago plus crash injury/crap weather/random excuses....
It may well be fast, but probably not with me on it. I might put up some pictures of the maiden voyage next week and await the Internet bikefit and howls of derision!
Raltech covers over my dead body, trispokes were good enough for Obree. Besides, I can always use my disk-shod geared TT bike in the unlikely occurrence of a perfect day.

The £18.60 (incl postage) in-line seatpost has finally arrived, I think it stopped off for a holiday in Tierra del Fuego on the way. With 3" cut off it still extends an inch or so below the top tube, so I should finally be able to ride the bike without fear of castration.
Hopefully pictures tomorrow.
*Wicker seat £30 from Hastings antique (junk) shop.

Whatever YOU choose will be wrong, Hippy, you ride a bike properly and therefore know nothing about how to build one for others to gawp at.
On the bright side, just received my £18.60 200g in-line seatpin from Sayyoulluseme (yes, really!) and it seems robust enough and is well finished. At that price I probably deserve to have it explode and ream my butt with splinters.

^First offence? Is possession of offensive audio equipment criminal? It should be.
Great to be back on the bike for the coastal commute after 2 weeks of stupid crash/minced hand/can't grip bars induced idleness. Considerate drivers, no kamikaze peds, flat calm, sunny. Was it just a dream?
