Ah ok, well I won't be doing any whipskidding - I'm not quite that tarck and am generally too old for that sort of thing. It'll be used around London for commuting, general rides and down at Herne Hill (when I get off my fat arse and get on with it again). I'm about 85kg and 6'6", if that has any bearing on it. Also, is it best to get 23mm width over 20.5mm?

I'm thinking of getting a set of 60mm/88mm carbon clinchers for my tarck bike off ebay, for £250ish. Why is this a bad idea? Has anyone got these wheels (for example). If so, how are you getting on with them?

@velocio didn't fancy looking at a skoda fabia vrs or something like that? Had a peek at the new MK3 Octavia VRS the other day. Looks lovely and reviews are pretty good too. I'm thinking I'll keep my MK1 VRS going for as long as I can then look for a 2nd hand MK3 VRS, if I can justify it to myself...

My experience is that you call up and they give you a PAC code when you request it. You then give this to new provider and it can take a few days for new provider to switch number over to their network. Soon as it doesn't exist on the old network the contract is gone, but until then you still pay for it I guess, if that crosses over into a new month that might be you screwed.

(stupid new forum, this was in reference to scoblestacked courier) Yeah, saw him by Moorgate the other day riding around on the pavement amongst the peds, looking a bit lost. For a man who's apparently recovering from back surgery he had no qualms about bumping down the kerb onto the road whilst seated.

@edscoble Nah, happy with my R501s for now, just wondering what the improvement is if it's not weight, looks, rim depth etc. Surely the only difference isn't 11 speed compatibility?

I posted this in Friday smiles but I think it ought to go in here too. I just love how excited they're getting at Kristoff almost winning the sprint.

I've got an SQR block on each of my two bikes and I've had absolutely no issues using my SQR Tour for commuting every weekday for two years, a month long tour around Europe and various other rides. Nothing's snapped. I do use 64cm frames, but have the SQR as far down the seatpost as I can and there's loads of clearance. It takes about 2 seconds to remove and attach the bag and the block is definitely unobstrusive enough to not worry about leaving on for rides without it. Really can't recommend it highly enough.

Unusual correlation between people who believe collective responsibility of an outgroup of road users is a myth and compare it to racism/sexism yet have no issues talking about taxi drivers, addison lee drivers and coppers as homogenous groups.
