Gosh, that's lucky. My bike was written off in an accident a couple of weeks ago, this was my process. You shouldn't need a receipt; take it to a reputable lbs and they'll do a road traffic incident inspection and give you a replacement quote, either parts cost+labour or equivalent OTP. Then you give that to the insurance company or their claims handler and they should send you a cheque. If the driver has reported the incident and admitted liability, it shouldn't be much trouble.

Finally making the transitions to tubs on the road bike, picking a pair of wheels up today! Much excite.
If I can't find a wheelbag, has anyone got some worn out tubs that still hold air that I can use to protect the rims in transit?

Pretty much just that. Buying some shmexy wheels, don't want them to explode in transit. Alternatively some old tubulars (that still hold air) for protection will be better than nowt. For pickup in London today

To clean? I basically don't :p Quite a matte surface, near impossible to scrub clean without effort. About to sand the whole thing down, and then probably get it painted. If it wasn't for the carbon I'd have got it acid dipped, much better finish straight off

As for abuse, they actually hold up very well in the dry as they're so supple. No puncture protection though, so when it gets wet all the lubricated flint and glass works it's way in. Great for the countryside, wouldn't advise them for London, but haven't punctured in Norwich city centre yet. Absolutely sublime ride quality

Masters are gumwall, but the rear is suffering from a bad case of dirty sidewalls from an ill advised winter ride. Might clean up, haven't tried particularly hard

Does anyone have experience removing logos from the "wet black" ritchey stuff? Or is it under a clear coat?
