Hold on, chaps, I've got one more comeback...
Adopt snooty voice "Actually my second post, which directly expressed my shock at the RRP, gave you a perfect opportunity to explain the discount, but you're right, debate over."
Aaaaah, and breathe.
Also, permission to post this now I can use the forum properly...

I'm not forcing you to, and we're clearly going to continue disagree on that front.
However, if you post something bike related on a public bike forum, you're going to get some questions about it, especially when it's a premium product. After my intial shock, I just wanted to know why you chose those specific bars over the alternatives.

You needn't justify buying things just to make you smile to the guy that spent 200 euros on floral cycling kit! I guess I just don't see it that way with components though - I tend to go for the cheapest option, and as long as it's not unsafe (and as long as it's made by Mavic!) then it's good enough for me :)

Ha, what can I say - I don't agree with excessive spending, and I correct grammar. I'm a #PeasantPedant

Aha, also I don't think douche has an accent on @hudsoncjnr otherwise you'd be a roadie douch-ay!

I don't think there is a specific person per se, it's just a quip based on the classic maths question format - "Mr Jones buys 8 pineapples and 16 bananas. He gives half of the bananas to Mrs Jones, keeps one pineapple for himself, and shares the rest of the fruit with his children. How many Brazilian wandering spiders now inhabit the Jones' home?" etc etc.

Glad it's not like sitting on a razor as I precicted! Odd that you shift forward on the hoods though, as I do the exact opposite. I find shifting forward slightly so I'm 'on the rivet' in the drops is far more comfortable, as it shortens the hamstring stretch. Then when I sit up on the hoods/tops to climb something I shift back on the saddle to get maximum leverage (a long leg is a strong leg!) Still, whatever works for you!

Nah, it's never too late! I've got to sit inside for the next hour waiting for the Sainsbury's dude to deliver our shopping when I'd much rather be outside, so I need something to keep me occupied!
