Wrote a race report of TransatlanticWay: http://www.nodrafting.org/journal/2016/7/8/transatlantic-way-ride-report-pt-1
Still want to know the official results, lots of time penalties etc. I imagine so may be a bit of shuffling in the rankings.

I have internal cable routing and there is a slightly sharp bend where the cable goes through the chainstay and I think it's there. I also think in my impatience I may have kinked the cable on the way in (was cabling the bike in a rush before the shop opened).
Maybe I'll give it another go with some goodridge housing and just be more careful cabling. Maybe run it with the campag inner cause they're slightly slimmer no? -
I've got the goodridge compressionless housing on my bike at the moment, but it is mighty stiff.
Is the jagwire/yokozuna more flexible? Where can I buy it by the meter? (contacted moore large about the 10m roll of jagwire compressionless housing but it seems they might have discontinued it?).
The jagwire elite link cable looks appealing - and flexible, but comes in mighty short pieces for hella money, anyone tried it? Or the Alligator Ilink? Again I'd have to buy 2 sets of cable to fully cable my bike but it claims to last pretty well. -
Selling a bunch of bits. The photos are a bit potato quality cause my phone is on the way out but have tried to show any scratches etc as best as possible. Link to imgur album with said terrible quality pics: http://imgur.com/a/172Kh
Prefer not to post. Am based around N1 at the moment, but am on a boat so I move around. Pick up can be organised from London Bike Kitchen on Sundays or somewhere around Liverpool street/home during the week.

Finished TAW this morning, after trying to push through last night I was hallucinating and Nodding off on the bike despite having just had a coffee, a red bull and an energy gel with 150mg of caffeine. I'd also taken all my warm clothes off in the hope the cold would keep me awake.
I ended up reluctantly bivying for a few hours, the gap between me and the person behind was big enough that it didn't really matter though. Happy with how it went despite being held back by total of about a day/half a day by mechanicals, its all part of the game though.Interestingly some TCR/Transam veterans said TAW was as hard/harder cause of the constant unrelenting headwind (inevitable if riding SW in Ireland), it always being rolling hills and the extremely unpredictable weather.
Also very impressed with Paula Regener's performance, especially coming off not much training due to recently breaking her ankle, I think she could do really well if she carries on with these races.

Yep I am! Got less than 500km to go now I think, just stopped for coffee. Getting sleepy now. Average of 4.5hrs a night but lowest was 2.5, don't want to catch up on sleep, just wanna finish now.
Weather is wet, but warm so not too bad, I've just kind of forgotten that it's supposed to be summer. Scenery is grand but due to the coastal route a little repetetive. Tiny bit of valleys today which is a nice change. -

My tongue is swollen from all the citric acid in my food/drink and I'm bitter the person about to be crowned the winner of this race hasn't ridden the full route. #csb

I'm on the transatlantic way race so had to come up with other solutions. Going to probs warranty the light when I'm back, but in the meantime I bought 2 portable USB charger things that are supposedly good for 6 charges each so should get me to the end of the race.
I've got a USB front light I can use for night riding but need to find a bike shop tomorrow to get a rear.
Apparently they're particularly vulnerable to water from the bottom. -

Tracker for TAW is up, the rider profiles aren't yet, I assume cause they'll be assigning trackers tomorrow at registration. http://trackleaders.com/transatlantic16

SRAM force 22 brifters. Kinda pricey to go hydro.
