The prices have tumbled with the release of their 1x11 stuff, just had a look and I've messaged @dakin with a set that'll probably go for -£30. A new Rival rear derailleur for £20.
Then you can sell the shifters and rear mech for about £100, buy crosstop brake levers for £15, and you've got £35 to buy some monkeylites.

@swedeee @Dakin I'ma get a bit nerdy here but:
sram's your easiest option, if you go 10speed you can use pretty much any of their MTB or road derailleurs and shifters with each other, because they didn't change their cable pull with it and stuck with 1:1, you could even go 11 if you bought their special 11 speed flat bar shifters but they cost a fair bit for a commuter. You can also go 1x10 if you one of their mtb type2 clutch derailleurs (x7 is cheapest) and ideally a narrow wide chainring
you could easily get sram rival front and rear mechs for £25, and mtb shifters for £25-35 then brakes that work with road pull calipers, cx levers are generally fine.if you do Shimano they do their stuff http://www.shimano.com/publish/content/global_cycle/en/au/index/products/road/flat_handlebar.html but it all gets really complex as opposed to Sram's
anyway sub'd, there's a pic of a courier's road/cx/workbike thing that i really liked, I'll see if i can find it

Good race, would've liked to have seen Thomas, Stybar, GVA attack more on the climbs and really force a selection though, they just seemed spent
As soon as EQS got Terpstra up it was always going to be an uphill struggle for Sky having used too many riders earlier on, no clue why Astana or Lotto didn't pull more in the earlier stages of the Kristoff-Terpstra breakaway

@fussballclub ahhh gotcha, I've already eaten my bodyweight in chocolate, I'm ready to go!
@Chadders81 very true, I like him as a rider too; just not sure he could finish off Thomas and Stybar, those two will try and break him repeatedly if it comes to it
Phinney is still semi-injured, have a look at his instagram, back riding but getting fitness back, there was talk of aiming for the tour, but really I think he's looking at WC's now

@B0N0R depends on what ones you buy, tektro do some that would fit, rl720's i think, but yeah proper levers would be better
