Just out of curiosity, has anyone had any experience with the planet x xls cyclocross bike? It's full carbon and comes in at a grand.

Looking at the Giant TCX SLR2 and the Cannondale cadx disk they all look pretty similar, except for the frame material. Opinions?

Right, measurements:
Seat tube = 54cm ctc
Top tube = 56cm ctc

Can't remember of the top of my head, I'll measure it when I get home this evening.

That's 54cm seat tube ctc.

For the complete? 54cm. Saddle isn't included th though.

From centre of BB to top of ST is 58cm, to the centre is 53cm. I'm 5'10 and fits me perfect.

Just testing the waters here, but if i was split this, would there be any interest?

I have a Hatta R9400 bottom bracket on my vivalo, and it's developed lateral play three times. Each time i've taken it to micycle, and then play has developed again. I'm not sure how old the BB is as it came with the frame. You can feel the play at the places i put my feet when i skid, so that's what it's caused by i reckon, or the BB is old. Is this normal? Or should i buy a new BB? If so, which one? Thanks

Specialized Globe Roll 1 520 chrom-moly frame in black.

Condition

-Left chain stay has paint chips
-Right side of seatpost cluster has paint chips
-Down tube has some significant marks due to the cleats of my shoes rubbing it, the marks have been covered with electrical tape
-Same reason for the chips on the seat tube
-Very light paint chipping on the top tube
-The usual rubbage on the crank arms
-Headset's slightly gritty

Front is a 40mm deep V that came with the bike, sealed bearing. Has had a brake on it but is still working fine. Slightly dirty, but a clean would sort that out.
Rear is an Alexrim S500, also sealed, which was bought as a replacement with a 16t cog.
Included are continental gatorskins 25c. Front one has about 200 miles and rear about 100.

Not sure how much riding you currently do. If this new bike means you'll ride more – as your mileage increases, it's likely your reach will too.

i've had it built up for one evening, that's what i meant.

The bars i'm running at the moment are compact drops, and i have an 80mm stem. After riding it for a while i'll make a decision, as it's far too early to tell yet.

yes, but having hoods would lengthen the reach surely?

Tyres will be changed at some point, as will cockpit. Going for a pearl 9/8 and nitto rb002 bullhorns. Maybe some compact Nitto drops later on, but then a shorter stem would be needed. Plus road levels might be a bit too modern for the build.
