But that's the point, surely? I don't want to use the back button to take me back to the forum. Half the time when I click on an external link I then browse around wherever that link takes me. By the time I've finished, the back button is often a useless way of navigating back to the forum, whereas being able to close a tab and move straight back to where I left off in the forum is much more useful.

+1 for outbound links in a new tab. Makes so much more sense to have links take you away to a new tab and preserve the main session in the forum.

I'll second this. It's so easy to navigate to conversations on the mobile that it feels super clunky having to go via the homepage on the desktop version.

Depends which browser you're using, I think. The way it's supposed to work is that you higlight the text you want to quote and then you hit reply. Otherwise I think it's copy and paste until the issues with certain browsers gets fixed.

I was having the same problem with my iphone constantly needing me to log in. I turned off all the restrictions on cookies and logged in again until I got that whole 'Would you like to stay logged in for a month?' thing. Then I turned the cookie restrictions back on. So far, so good. It did randomly log me out last night, but when I came back this morning it knew who I was again.

I used to work for a second hand bookseller listing their stock on Amazon. That kind of thing is pretty common. You get a bunch of fucking amateurs out there who find a book that no-one else has in a certain condition or edition etc. and because they don't have a clue how much it is worth - and because they're either unscrupulous or a bit dim or both - they whack it on there at a massively optimistic price. You then get similarly clueless people who use that price as a baseline and then try to undercut it by a few quid. Morons, basically.
