Sadly, it never does. In all my years of trying, I've never yet managed to get an image on the website. Basically I've no idea what I'm doing. A bit like moonwatcher in 2001 a space odessey when he sees the obelisk for the first time. However, in my case no light suddenly switches on!

I present to the forum my Winter/Beater Surosa Aluminium Frame and Alpina Carbon Forks.
Seat Tube 60cms centre to top and 57cms top tube.
The frame comes with a newish headset and Ritchey seat pin.
There is also the possibility of me offering the extras you see in the image ie
saddle, triple front mech, stem/bars for a small extra charge.
The frame is in vgc overall with no dings,dongs,dents etc. Bottom bracket threads are in pukka condition. The frame has only been used once in the last 5 years - time to go grasshopper!
Clearances for 23mm tyres and guards.
Overall this is a nice light frame that offers a comfortable ride. I suppose it is similar to a Ribble
although I think the ride quality is a little better.
£50 quid - I'm West London based so happy to meet Tube/BR station - or you can pop round
and take it away. I've lots of other stored bits to help with the build if you so desire. -
Good solid piece of kit. I've had one of these for years for winter/light touring.
Sold originally as a budget price bike, the ride quality goes way beyond price in terms of comfort
I'm seriously thinking of respraying and upgrading mine because It gives a real pleasure on the road.
The bike deserves a good home. -

Hi Phyllis,
I've got a 60cms Aluminium Surosa frame with Alpina Carbon forks. The
overall condition is very good no dings,dongs, dents just one or two paint chips. I never used the bike really that much preffering my retro steel frames.
It tales guards with clearnces for 23mm tyres.
It has rack mounts too. It comes with a headset bar/stem and
seatpin with a brand new selle qbix saddle.

For Sale: 60cms Surosa Frame +Forks +
Hi Everyone.
I present for sale to the forum my aluminium/carbon winter frame.
7005 series aluminium matched with an alpina carbon fork. 57cms top tube - 130 across the dropouts at the back.
Also included is the headset = 40mm of spacers, a3T 12cms stem, 3T handlebars and a pair of Shimano brake levers (I ran the bike with an old set of friction barends).
I'm also including a ritchey seatpost and a practically brand new specialised saddle
The frame will take guards and a rack and has clearances for 23mm tyres.
I'm selling the frame because I don't have too much space in the shed and I haven't used the frame for about 3 years.
Not sure what this is worth - how about £85? -
Hi Mark,
I think your problem with the 175 cranks can be solved by pushing the saddle forward not back and also by dropping the saddle height. Your body is used to spinning 170s so you need to compensate for the movement. I pushed my saddle quite far forward and subsequently moved it back just a touch.I have found that a jump of 2.5mm is preferable rather than the 5mm you have undertaken.

Currently building up a Gazelle with a modern 10 speed gruppo.
I have in the parts bin a pair of 10 speed 5700 brifters. The only problem is that I can't work out how to fit new gear cables. I've tinkered about with small screws got the flat bladed screwdriver in to try and prize off covers.
Nothing doing! I've checked Shimano's website. What am I not doing properly? It is very frustrating - it's enough to send my hair brown again! -

I can recommend 32c Vittoria Randoneurs - cheapish and very comfortable
ride. They seem to be able to cope with towpaths/sustrans stuff too. Much less drag than Schwalbe Marathons. Comfort is important and given the state of pothole strewn roads fatter tyres are essential if you want to enjoy your rides. -

I suspect that the problem with caliper drop on the front is probably caused by
the frame being designed for 27 inch wheels. I encountered a problem like this on an old Dawes frame I restored. I solved the problem with a 57mm drop brake in the end. Modern 57mm drop brakes also tend to be designed to accommodate mudguards.
I've also used spacers on a 120mm rear wheel to accommodate 126mm spaced dropouts - no problems at all.Nice frame for a fiver!
