I was going to sell it for scrap gold and I was quoted £400 from someone but sentiment made me keep it for now and I reckon I'd get more as a watch due to the fact that it's gold yet made to look like steel (as I thought it was at first). Speaking of which does anyone know where I could get it repaired?

I've actually done a fair bit of research into it as the serial number didn't turn up anything of use.
I took it to hatton square and watch repairers/jewelers around there and the general answer was a laugh and abit of annoyance that I'd wasted their time with a cheap 1970s steel watch and even more annoyed that I'd thought it had value!
When I proved that it was in fact 18kt they were surprised and said it wasn't real said that they couldn't help. One person found that it is real as there is a hallmark on the inside and did a scratch test. I'm going to get the history for it when I'm back at Christmas.
Edit: any information or a person who would be able to help would be greatly appreciated. The day is in French and English if that helps.
