I used to top out at 18x when running then race training at HH saw me regularly tip over the 200 mark (3 years ago, so 35yo)
@Retro_bastard I had a Polar M600 which I compared with a H... Something... 7 maybe? strap a few times at work and they were always within a 1 or 2 bpm of each other. Averaged over an hour they were pretty spot on. GPS tracking was more reliable on the m600 than on my phone too.

Thanks for checking it out! Planning to start a label again maybe next year, both merch and vinyl... Lots of plans but covid gonna covid for now.
I get a small allocation of marketing emails per month with the web package which is another area to get sorted yet... They're sporadic at best atm.
The Elder album is awesome, check out their older stuff too! -
@Yukirin got a link to your shop?
I'll send you a link so I don't cause an issue with advertising on here.
This time last year my full time job was pretty dire so launched this with a plan to relive my Virgin Megastore years. Doom, Stoner, Fuzz niche - Heavy Psych Sounds, Blues Funeral etc. Then'rona happened and now I'm over worked in my "real job" (selling fitness equipment) and a 1yo killing the nights so havnt been able to grow the site as I'd have liked.
I'm not much of a creative writer so the plan for the blog side was to focus more on live music, start doing photography again, promote the site at gigs and do a pop up shop... Anyway, year 1 of the 5 year plan has gone surprisingly well considering. Not a huge inventory but it's growing and we have some more distros lined up for when I have more investment available.

As a kid my mum would just plug my ear with an olive oil dipped cotton wool ball and send me off... As an adult I'd probably do the same. #ObviouslyNotADoctor

I'm just still baffled by the government's insistence on not getting to grips with a proper lockdown. How can click and collect handbags even be legal if you can only leave your house for essential shopping or exercise?
Because money > life. The perception that they're useless allows them to be excused for too much.

-Make sure you are registered with a GP with your current address/phone so THEY can contact YOU; most GPs let you register with them on their website
Just done this a few days ago. I've not been registered with a GP since my last one got closed for being "under used" (aka you could actually get an appointment) in 2015. Filled out the form online, no ID check required but I have no idea what my NHS number is so left it blank. They sent an email saying they can't register me without it.
Googled what next step to take and it said the GP can find it for me, so emailed them back quoting Dr Google and the next day they confirmed my registration. Job done.Did make me wonder, what are the current numbers of unregistered people in the UK?

I’m guessing that I’m running out of patience. My first month and a bit was running thrice a week for 5km runs with same split timings. Upped to 7km same frequency and now doing three 10km runs a week but my split timings hardly change...
I'm not a running expert so tell me I'm wrong by all means, but I know a little about tapering and periodisation from weight lifting...
What distance are you trying to improve the time on? I work out some kind of tapering to be on my best form to put a time down on a set day. I don't race, but I was trying and better my 5k times say twice a month, or a 10k once a month as a fast 10k ruins me and going slow and further than 10k just takes too long (the thing about picking a day to work towards is life/weather/hangovers don't always follow the plan)
So in the instance of 5k that's 2 X two week cycles to do some combination of slow, medium and fast (not fastest) - short, target distance, further distance and rest days.
Leading up to my fastest effort day, I'll taper down, rest day, slow and further, then go for it. But try different combinations and see what works for you mehbe? -

I've got the Epi 339 and its alright, being a small person it's a bit more in proportion!
Having the coil tap is cool, gives plenty of options. It lives on the wall in the front room as it's handy to just pick up and play when the little one is napping. I'm not blown away with it though. Nothing wrong as such, just doesn't zing. I've yet to gig with it though so that might change.
I'd like to give the Squire Starcastor a go, its closer to my Jonny Greenwood fantasy visually at least. -

I had a NJ Beast bass in the red over flamed (maple?) top which appealed to my teenage goth self. It was huge and I'm only 5ft 6 so looked ridiculous. Still trying to track down a photo of me with it - when Robin Graves left Cradle Of Filth in 2002 I sent a photo of me with it and a demo... I never heard back lol.

Re the Dawsons Music saga from an order placed 27th Nov - got an email the day before the PayPal resolution saying they had started an investigation and would see if another pedal could be sent. Replied with [no thanks, refund please] and money is now back with me 41 days later.
Wouldn't recommend paying them without the protection of a credit card/PayPal. -

My mum, a head dinner lady in a primary school, has been developing a cough since Christmas day and she delayed and dithered before requesting a home testing kit a couple of days ago which is still to arrive. She emailed the school to let them know, their reply :
I have checked with XXX and 10 days self isolating from Dec 25th allows you to return to work in person from Tues 5th.
Kind Regards -
Aren't we matching the EU on this? People can come over and work for 90 days in 180? I'm still confused on how this impacts touring bands coming to the UK.
Edit*
I am indeed wrong. Ignore me!
