My mate has a orange c'dale CAD1 M300 rigid bike, all stock parts and been abandoned in a shed for 7 years.
Needs new headset, stem, twist shifters are deteriorated and unusable, front mech seized, lost its starfangled nut, spring broken on front brake and needs new tyres, has no seatpost or saddle.
Frame, forks and wheels are solid though and he's asking for a casually paid £50
Was thinking of turning the rear wheel ss and using it for tow path/frolicking in grassy fields/woodlands fun.
Is this another stupid project leading me to a path of regret? -

Does anyone know if the Richmond Park TTs are running again this year?
The only mention I can find is on
http://www.kingstonwheelers.co.uk/timetrialing.shtmlJune the 22nd. Not sure what district this falls under but can't find a mention if it on ctt website, London south event list, or London west website which still has a blank page titled "London West District Time Trial Programme for 2013" for events.

6 months in you'll stop getting achievements for your commute and you'll have to find a new way home with different segments to feed the addiction
This, and you start paying a lot more attention to Carol in the morning regarding wind direction and air temp...
Then call her a liar after you've uploaded.

finishes pie and chips
... And finished reading two season's worth of posts...so a very late Well done, Hippy!
I think I know what I'm doing with my Dolan road now... Cheap ass tt bike and give it a try next season (definitely kidding myself when I think I might have time to do training for track in the next 5 years... It rains every Saturday I book off work for beginners at HH And no track bike). So need a ctt affiliated club, time to catch up on this lfgss cc proposal! -

My fathers bike has just been stolen from a village not too far from Epping:
LOOK 60cm Alloy frame with carbon rear end
Blue which fades to black in the middle of the alloy tubes then back to blue with white LOOK decals. Rear triangle solid blue. Seat tube has 3 stripes (Pale yellow, silver and red) around the bottle cage mount.
8 speed 105 flightdeck groupset
ITM Stem, alloy drops, black tape, Toe Clips and alloy pedals (not in picture)
He had the Garmin mount on the bars (but not the garmin attatched, thankfully) and there was a saddle bag of tools/tube/levers attatched. Thanks!
Sorry for the poor photo but its all I have at the mo.

If you can handle friction shift instead of indexed life gets a lot cheaper! An old 7 speed mech will shift across a 7/8/9 speed cassette ( match chain to cassette). Friction bar end shifters are cheap, too.
