I don't think you even need to swap the brakes, just the levers and some fresh cables.

New levers should just bolt in place of the old ones and no reason to swap to a straight bar.
Can you post pictures of the brakes and levers you have?

£25 for a pair of brakes if you have to replace them, I'm sure someone will have an old pair of 105 brake only levers for drops here for £15ish. +new cables will come in under £50. £6 for some new grip tape.
Why did you want to swap to a flat bar/risers? You can hold on to the top flat section or ride on the brake hoods with your current drop bars.

So I've not been very active in my purchases of new music - Ive only just found out secondlayer has closed (though I have a slight feeling I may have read about this a couple of years back but forgot)

Where is good for new vinyl? Web based is fine but ideally UK based. Looking for a mix if stuff like Corsano, Loren Connors, Yellow Swans, My Cat Is An Alien, sunburned hand of a man, comets on fire....

And any other good places for reviews / events promotion and stuff?
Maybe I'll have to start buying wire again.
