If you're North North and Harlow isn't too much of a stretch up the m11 I can recommend http://www.sickamps.com

I picked up the cheap Bodymax ones which retail at £60 (but I get extra cheap through work) knowing that if it did just fall apart I can swap/refund no worries, but so far so good. Wouldn't see a reason to go up to the £100 Taurus one so far. Had a play with the Powerplate Pulse which is £250ish and it was obviously better made... If you're a PT / Physio or just like nicer things then probably worth the extra spend.

Yep, when I met Mrs Y she had this old monster mains powered beast which did my legs the world of good when my commute changed to Tottenham - > Kingston. I still use it if I'm tight after weights/running.
Recently I've bought a modern rechargeable one for each of the sisters in-law and my dad and they're all using them regularly and reporting good things back. -

I hate it too, but rely on it so much for pacing but #NotARacer. I generally head out around 6:30am, saw 2 dog walkers this morning and both times Strava blurted out just as I went past. I do feel terrible when that happens.

Just wish it would stop raining every night.
This! I run more for the mental 'elf and fitness is a bonus, but I like to run around the lakes. The stoney tracks are OK but only account for a fraction of the possible routes so the mud slip has been non-stop. Was so nice to have the ground frozen for a couple of mornings for a change.

If you like to thrash your Fender avoid saddles without grooves for the string to sit in. Ugh, and those multi-grooved saddles that the jags come with in the pic. Maybe it's just jags I've played as they don't have much tension across the bridge but the strings all bunch up into the middle.
Steel and brass have different densities so sound slightly different. Brass should have more sustain, too. This is definitely way out of my geek league to worry about though. Play in a rubbish venue with a rubbish engineer and nobody will care what the saddles are made of.

Guitarist in my old band had strats and teles. Songs with more twinkle/emo/math bits got the tele, fatter biffy-esque songs got the strat, though not exclusively.
I've always felt I could thrash a tele (because I just want to be Jonny Greenwood) whilst a strat needs to be played "nicely"... I know there are plenty of examples of strat abuse, just personally. -

Both the responses above are incorrect in terms of suspected rib fractures, by the way.
Both times my rib fractures were diagnosed by external examination and a peak flow test as I said I couldn't breath deeply. Dr said they don't xray unless they suspect a more severe injury and was happy to write both up as fractures and send me packing with drugs. Was good enough for the insurance claim too.

Yeah, it's a tank! Not super high gain, it's got a lovely creamy Sabbath distortion but you can turn it all the way up without it turning to crap, sounds glorious! Then I've got a Russian muff for heavy bits.
I borrowed an Ampeg 8x10 and nearly died loading out of The Met Lounge in P'bo and regretted my life choices, I ended up with two orange 4x10 to make loading "easier". They sounded a million times better than an ampeg fridge too. -
Noice, Jimmy of Mars Red Sky had a Matamp Green (Gt200?) going through Orange OBC cabs when I saw them which sounded so good, I don't think I've seen any other bassists use one live.
I've got a Hiwatt though it needs some bench time: re-valve and bias and possibly some caps need replacing, just can't justify the spend until I can actually use it again at volume. I love cranking up a valve bass amp! -
Might not need new pups, decent strings and a nice preamp will do more. Sansamp Bass Driver ftw, you can pick them up off ebay for under £150.
Then a Russian Big Muff Pi :)
Tip on looking out for heavy guage strings, keep an eye out for discounts on 6/7 string packs and discard the skinny ones. Some bargains crop up sometimes. -
10 months since losing my smell... Still not back fully. Sweet smells seem fine, but ammonia is near undetectable (as proven when Mrs Y shoved an old re-usable nappy in my face after finding it misplaced in the airing cupboard)
And a lot of things smell like chicken... Like diesel fumes and... other random things that shouldn't. -
I was melting this morning in shorts, a loose vest and gloves (my hands are the only things that feel the cold). Maybe open-water swimming has broken my internal thermostat. I do worry that maybe I should put knee warmers on to "protect" my knees but I've not felt the need to? I only do up to 10k so not long runs.
