Can you explain the controversy of this video, because I really donāt see it. Heās specifically talking about the Al-Nusra Front.
Casualties of the Al-Nusra Front were absolutely taken to Israeli hospitals. There are numerous articles from different news sources about this:
https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/syrian-war-israel-al-nusra-golan-heights-allies-a7398246.html
Thereās even an interview with the former head of Israelās intelligence agency, where he explains that they treat their enemies (Al-Nusra) humanely except when heās asked sixty seconds later if theyād do the same for their enemies (Hezbollah).
I genuinely donāt understand how it is a WTF moment, that Milne, in 2015, thinks this a topic worth thinking about?

EDIT - Apparently thereās concern that this report is fake news, in order to blame a specific group for the attacks. Same reason theyāve shut down all social media by the looks of it.
Strangely I canāt see this information anywhere in The Guardianās live feed anymore.
But here it is from another website:

This is strange. This morning, on The Guardianās live feed page there was a quote from some official that said roughly āWe had previously received intelligence that there was a possible threat to high profile churchesā.
Iām looking at the articles on there now and canāt see any mention of this. Iāll see if I can find it...

My issue isnāt with people expressing shock, my issue is with the sheer amount of shock and grief, in both the media and social media, which I think is a great example of western hypocrisy. Weāre talking about the roof of one building.
And I disagree. You state that comparison as if itās an obvious fact. I think weāre capable of far more complex empathy, than simply feeling the most emotion because something is close by.

Isnāt that exactly the problem?
Of course we feel more affected by something we have proximity and experience with. But we also have the capability for unpacking our thoughts and seeing a wider picture and just possibly, before uploading another screenshot with a broken heart emoji, even recognising that itās kind of weird we feel worse about the part destruction of one building, than the bombing and utter destruction of an entire city.
Over 50 go fund me campaigns started by regular people and the total official fund raising is at over Ā£600 million euroās. For a building that caught fire less than 24 hours ago. Lol.

Bloody hell. The western social media public grieving machine is back again.
Any loss of history and beauty is rightly saddening but seriously, people need to get a grip. I canāt be the only one who is sickened by our western privilege and hypocrisy at times like this?
Wait until they see what happened in Mosul - 3 years ago.

Haha of course. I used the contact us option in the iOS app. Wrote that I didnāt think it was very clear that āSpecial Offersā were adverts, the human on the other side explained that there are two Kindle options for sale etc, and that to remove āSpecial Offersā the fee is Ā£10 (or Ā£20?). I wrote āCan you do this for free?ā. They asked their supervisor and then they were removed.
Take that Bezos.

Finally decided Iād try out reading on a Kindle. Went for the paperwhite as itās on sale at the moment. (Purchased with āSpecial Offersā and then contacted customer services to ask them to remove them free of charge. Because if Iām buying from Evilcorp, then I need some small victories.)
I like how thin and light it is, and the inverted mode seems very nice to read. Time will tell.
I am though baffled as to why theyād put the power button on the bottom, where you hold the device, instead of on the top edge. And the 90ās art store lock screen images that you canāt change - how have they not made an option to display the cover of the current book yet?!
