Must be alternatives to getting sticker residue off that are quicker, Google throws up loads of home remedies. I've personally used bike chain degreaser a few times to speed things up.

Shimano and others have been hit by the price of the pound rising plus inflation. It's in some ways cheaper than 3 years ago

No experience with regular GKs but have used the GK SKs - they'd probably slow you down over the current tyres.

That's a score on the components and your bike, I'd get sucked into doing the same :D
Am a fan of the Juin Techs, not as good as the bikes with full hydro but close and much easier to fit.They are slicks, more winter orientated but still score very well on low rolling resistance. They can go off-road but if you're doing tow path or gravel daily, then the GKs make more sense.

That's a spendy upgrade list, more than the bike to begin? Personally would upgrade as things wear out. Put on some Juin Tech brakes, upgrade the lights and maybe tyres. I'd put brakes ahead of a carbon crank too.
Tyres will probably give the best value change, maybe throw on something like Michelin Pro4 endurance V2 in 28c .

Need to go back and check, it seems(?), the new LB site seems to make up pricing as you go.
For the RR46C02 I have $224 (brake track with hook) and $194 disc with hook. -
I've fully nerded out and have the rim profiles in photoshop and a spreadsheet with all the details but in summary..
FaSport are the heaviest, 100g more than Carbonal at 50mm.
Carbonal are close to LB on weight and quite a bit cheaper (46 v 45mm rims).
FarSports are a fair bit cheaper than both.LB have a decent online reputation, so do FarSport, not sure on Carbonal - trying to find out.

To also tack on to this, 45mm or 50mm for road and the odd race at Herne Hill? I also only know those 3 as legit - leaning toward Carbonal.

Anyone got any experience with http://www.carbonal.com.cn for rims? Seem to sit in the middle of FarSports and Light Bicycle for price/weight. A few Ebay wheel builders use them but can't see much else in way of review.

How hard to get Ultegra/105 on the Giant? If they are then all the same chainset/crank length you could get a 4iiii, the 105 version was on sale for £260 at Sigma this week.
