Anyone have any tips for drain noise.
We have a downpipe that take rainwater/sink/shower water into the sewer - it terminates into something like this:
https://www.jdpipes.co.uk/aws/images/blog/underground-sewer/drainage-gullies/ptrap-gully.jpg
It gets super noisy with water splashing into the hopper - is there an easy thing to put on the bottom of the downpipe to reduce noise?

Yeah - there were quite a few, this made sense to me: https://www.saunafin.com/blog/sauna-kits/how-to-build-sauna-kit-guide/
This guy's recent video looks pretty helpful for the actual build up - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7Cj9q00nJA&ab_channel=JohnThain
In my head, i thought some non-flammable insulation in the framing, followed by a vapour barrier and then cedar/larch/pine cladding would work well to be reasonably insulated and mean heat-up speeds were good. I'd imagine that'd make sense for a basement too (depending how outdoor-ey your basement is).

It's the Environemtnal Health Officer's job to deal with this - HSE will get involved if the works are notifiable - i.e,. you're above a certain threshold of some sort and have to tell them you're dealing with asbestos (this is from vague memory of a asbestos awareness training i did a while ago). Basically, take some pics, send it to the EHO and tell them if they're still doing it. They'll come down and check whether they think it's asbestos and if it is, they have some level of power to compel the builder to do it properly and can involve HSE if needed.

Friend of mine has relocated abroad and i'm selling this for him.
it's an enko-cycles frame - https://www.instagram.com/enkocycles/?hl=en
in a rather fetching blue with some nice sparkles running throughout with columbus tubing. the ST is 55cm and the TT is roughly the same. Comes with a fancy campag crankset, headset and seatpost. Wheels aren't anything special.
It has been sat for a while, so would recommend not cycling it home (needs pedals too). The BB is a little wobbly but aside from that and a flat rear it seems okay.
He's after about £350 for the lot
Collection from N5 please.

fencing advice needed - we have a 3ft-ish of brick wall between us and some noisy neighbours.
i'd like to put a more solid fence above the brickwall to block out a bit of noise/chatter.
my idea had been to use some bolt-down fence post holders and then add another 3ft of fence panelling above the wall.
The wall is in pretty good condition, the top course are laid on their sides and it's either been repointed or rebuilt with cement mortar rather than some old victorian guff.
Even though the wall is right between buildings so wind is fairly minimal, i think i should be more worried about the windloading and fence pulling off the top course of bricks?
I'm not keen on posts against the wall, which would probably be more sensible, becauese aesthetics.
any advice welcome

Not sure if anyone fancies this - it's about 110cm wide and 2m high. The top section comes apart.
